Upon logging-in this week, we get a pop-up saying : "Lunar New Year Gift in celebration of Earth making another trip around the sun" but thats the opposite of what Lunar New Year is. Earth's trip around the sun is called SOLAR New Year (tracked from January to December). But many Asian cultures instead track 12 complete moon phases as a full (Lunar) year... And the start of the New Year is based on the new moon after a Winter Solstice, which means the "New Year" can start on a different date each year, usually sometime between January 21 - February 20. Just figured I'd clear it up for ppl wondering wtf Lunar New Year is. I find it funny when Bungie tries to be "inclusive" but has no idea what they're doing & actually misrepresents the thing they're trying to represent lol Gōng xǐ fā cái ya'll !!!
