TWIDS aren't empty because nobody could be bothered to write them. They're empty because reporting on this game now qualifies as historical fiction. There is no news. There are no developments. There is only the weekly ritual of opening the portal and discovering — shockingly — the exact same missions standing there for the last 7 months. The portal isn’t a feature anymore. It’s a museum exhibit. “Here we see the Great Content Loop, preserved exactly as it was since Edge of Fate". Every week the modifiers change like someone’s rearranging deck chairs on a skip fire and insisting the flames are a new seasonal event. “Look everyone, this week you have to use different weapons!”, or maybe a change of modifiers that we HAVE to add to get any loot that's worth anything. What are the headlines supposed to be now? “Developers Introduce Revolutionary New Feature: Pretending Old Content Is New Content.” “Players Experience Exciting New Modifier" At this point TWIDS aren't news posts — more like hostage videos. Blink twice if you’re being forced to run the same missions again. And the saddest bit? Nobody’s even angry anymore. Anger requires hope. This is just the quiet acceptance of a community watching the same rerun for so long they’ve memorised the ad breaks. So yes — TWIDS are empty. Because you can’t publish breaking news when nothing moves except the calendar and everyone’s slowly dying of déjà vu. My guess is Sony won’t let them because if Marathon bombs the D2 roadmap won’t matter, Bungie will be gutted, Sony is losing way too much money because of Bungie broken promises and game studios are dropping like flys for that very reason atm.

2 RepliesIf you go back to 8/14/25 TWID (4 weeks from Ash and Iron release) you'll see it was also barren of content. If you look at TWIDs prior to that one, they were all focused on trying to make the portal not suck. Since there is no seasonal content to drip feed us, your average TWID will either be a nothingburger or Bungie trying to put out a fire that they started. That's how their 'Year of Prophecy' has gone.

2 RepliesWhat are you expecting ? No seriously what are you expecting? Time to let go …well at least for now . It’s all about marathon now and it’s such a mixed bag . Destiny and Bungie followers are salty as hell . But there are players who don’t follow Bungie and have never played Destiny . Marathon has to work or probably be seeing less in d2.
