How to change linked account before enabling cross play
So i wanted to enable crossplay to download game on steam however my xbox account that i linked previously has an email that i no longer have access to and because of that i cant activate crossplay, is there any way to change the email of the xbox account so i can activate crossplay?

You need to contact Microsoft to recover your Xbox account if you want to use it for cross save.

Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 1/22/2026 6:38:05 AMSimply put, you can't. Bungie disabled the ability to unlink platform accounts (except Twitch) on March 25h 2025 - this change also closed the workaround. Even if that change hadn't happened you still would've needed access to unlink the account. Bungie will not unlink it under any circumstances.
