I've been away for several months and I'm finding my feet again in PvP. Yet time and time I encounter an issue that seems to be a pseudo Pay To Win. The new weapons like the Martlet and the Heat Weapons are incredibly difficult to compete against. Between the cracked out stats, frame and fire rate of Martlet to the weirdly accurate Heat Weapons I cycle through so many of my own trying to find something that works.
What I've concluded is that this is on purpose. These weapons are designed to be Over-the-top and nigh impossible to win against, unless you have your own. In essence if you don't buy the new DLC you will suffer and won't be able to be successful.
I hope someone at Bungie reads this. It's a long shot I know. But you have to understand that this is not Ok. This is not how you should be advertising your latest content.

I bought Renegades and I partially agree with you.. but its not specific to Renegades... and I am not even convinced its on purpose. There are just weapons that make it through that are cracked (imo its not necessarily advertising its just lack of attention to detail/testing).. its better than usual right now actually... but there is one I won't mention that I see tearing it up in Control when its in there. (get the heat weapons out of your head... dont worry about the sound you immediately hear... just find your weapon that works) PVP is supposed to have nearly balanced weapons... you have slight variances by buff/nerf per season to keep it interesting but overall certain ranges and types of styles should work for a variety of weapons. So despite having Renegades and earned a bunch of weapons including Dungeon.. I like/need to play with a variety of weapons to keep it interesting. ...so if you made it this far I can let you know what I have tested that works from the old group of weapons but I'd like to hear what you have tried and whats your style?
