Most of the times after the lobby fills up and I go to summon the fireteam, players do not get added into the fireteam. I have to open another fireteam finder lobby, gather players again in the fireteam lobby and keep trying until the game can successfully get the fireteam together into a fireteam in orbit. Players I manually invite tell me they are given an error code and not allowed to join. I have no restrictions on. Internet connection is ≈ 509mb down/10mb up. Open Nat, 0% packet loss, and ≈45ping. This started to happen frequently after the launch of Edge of Fate. What is happening?

The legacy fireteam finder on the app was 100 times a better system than this mess they have at the moment

You really need to ask this question?.... It's a game run by Bungie.. Question answered.

Good question. Pick a number with all the other things that are broken and will never be fixed in this game. But rest assured that someone got a promotion for that, sponsored by Eververse.

Well, it’s a broken game so I suppose it fits doesn’t it?

Edited by Londo Mollari: 1/4/2026 6:49:47 PMYou should NEVER be summoning. Manually invite each player, if they don't accept within a certain amount of time kick them. Reasons: -summoning often breaks voice chat -if anyone is loading into anything while summoned it breaks -if they can't accept an invite they can't follow directions or work as a team As for your error with people joining, have you checked your MTU size?

2 RepliesThe workaround is, invite them yourself to your fireteam and dont summon.

1 ReplyIt sometimes used to take so long to get everyone into the fireteam, you'd think it was broken ... recently it actually has been broken. The fix is that you can ignore the "summon" button & just send individual fireteam invites to each person in the lobby... that way they join your fireteam directly, no summoning nonsense, and you'd just have to launch the activity from the actual director.

1 ReplyI constantly get a “Something Went Wrong” message at the bottom of my screen when I join a lobby in FTF.

I’m getting NAT errors but not always I was able to join fire teams yesterday but not the day before and not today. I’m also getting errors that kick me. This started within the last few weeks and I will just assume it is them as I have no issues with any other online games. Plus their game is a mess riddled with bugs.

And I’m seeing it from the other side. I join, ready up and sit there waiting. Just see that it either timed out, or something.

There are so many things broken in the games they need a roadmap just to fix the bugs. -
It gives an error at the bottom of the screen saying something went wrong.
