remove all skill based matchmaking from this game!

SBMM is ruining this game Control is supposed to be the casual game mode and outlier protection ruins the game experience, getting absolute sweats against you EVERY SINGLE GAME is annoying AF and is rage educing, it would be less painful to swallow glass then play control.

  • Yes please! SBMM has to go! To all the people saying that we PvP players just want to farm casuals, you couldn't be further from the truth. Destiny PvP is at its best when you have a broad variety of loadouts not just using the most meta stuff. SBMM especially at higher skill levels makes using non meta gear super difficult because everyone else is using meta stuff and is team shooting or in stacks. This makes PvP extremely boring and unfun. To everyone saying that lower skill players will suffer, the answer is not if they learn how to play. When I really got into Destiny PvP (season of arrivals) SBMM had just been turned off, I was not a good player by any means. I didn't know about weapon perks, mods, armor mods, synergy etc. If I finished a control game with 4-5 kills I was happy. What happened? I decided I wanted to get better. I would watch PvP players absolutely dominate there opponents and I would learn from them. I learned how to build crafting, what weapons are good in certain situations, the importance of positioning and movement, etc. Now I've played thousands of hours of PvP, have countless we ran out of medals, have gone solo flawless multiple times, and have reached ascendant rank in comp solo (not this season but a few seasons ago, I don't really bother much with comp these days). The point of this post is not to brag, but rather to show that if you want to be good at something you have to work at it. I didn't become good at PvP overnight, it took a while and it was all done with no SBMM and im a console player for those wondering. SBMM is an artificial environment. You will never really improve much because you will keep playing people around your skill level, but when you play people better than you that's when you really learn. Good luck to everyone and don't give up!
