I had more Respect for the 9 before they talked.
They seem more like a sitcom than a cluster of powerful entities. Totally let down.

They express the nature of demonic entities, and behave as such, which I have suspected all along, they are fairly on point in that regard Real dark forces are not impressive at all, they suck, and are quite bad, and rotten, they are pathetic, parasitic, vengeful, and petty, although very powerful, it's not Bungie's fault In various scriptures, God outright proclaims them as losers, true losers, mind you, and they really are XD

If this was 2014 then The Nine would probably be quite interesting but right now they just seem sort of meh. For some 5th dimensional beings right now they don't seem to do anything interesting like we got the whole time travel weirdness in Edge of Fate and all that amounted to was 1 guy and some trains. In Renegades 6 or w/e just did Star Wars... I honestly don't know what they were thinking with this current expansion.

Yeah, their writer team is as incompetent as the people who are in charge of PvP. With Savathun it was the same thing. Before Witch Queen she was this enigmatic, dark, mysterious goddess. And then it all comes down to “haha I tricked you, and I tricked you again hahahaa .. hahaha”. She’s just petty, obnoxious, and as awkward as a teenager who is trying to be mysterious. Awful writing.

That is why mysterious races are best left mysteries. Happened to the Forerunners in Halo for me. Greg Bear did a fantastic job with the books, but Microsoft studios just bunged them up in the later games.

“Oryx, my man!” - The Winnower, the most powerful Darkness entity in Destiny’s lore The Nine are fine as an adversarial force, I just think it took too long to introduce them.
