Barrier hand cannon is a joke
Did you people game test this in higher level content?
If so, you were not paying attention.
It’s a joke. So was anti barrier bows last season.
Fix this problem

Eriana's Vow is the only hand cannon that reliably breaks the barrier. Agree completely it's a terrible choice for anti barrier

Funny story last week I could not pop barrier with explosive midnight coup. This week I switched to warlock with two perk kinetic damage boost armor and I handle them with ease. Hoping to get a team for this weeks GM and maybe get one completed.

5 RepliesPretty much everything in the weekly vanguard alert strike feels bad due to it being overturned compared to the old GMs. So things that were tuned to work in GMs are not not strong enough. Erianas vow is a perfect example. It was tuned a while back to be able to pop any anti barrier shield up to GM difficulty in one hit. But it does not now.

1 ReplyMalediction takes 2 shots to break barrier. It's kinetic. Works well with seasonal artifact and Techsec armor.

Yes they mostly suck, especially at -30 and above. Anyone tried Ace of Spades? It got a massive PvE buff in Renegades, with the Techsec set I’m curious to see if it fares. Thorn is not too bad either. -
Heavy sniper with gutshot will 1-shot barriers and you can still use a separate exotic.
