Should Xur sell older raid/dungeon exotics and catalyst?
Given the difficulty in finding teams to run older content, I honestly don't see a problem with this and feel it would revive some excitement for Xur every weekend. I still remember how crazy everyone got when D1 Xur sold Gallagher horn back in the day.
My thoughts:
Xur should have a low chance to sell these items and maybe even legendary gear from these activities, with holidays offering slightly higher chances of dropping these items from dungeons/raids that are at least 1 year old.

1 ReplyConsidering how few older exotics l hold up in the sandbox, why bother with chances? Cause there isn’t any real usefulness beyond novelty or collector mentality really. Make them pricey and the casuals will have to grind for it.

[/quote] Enable drop protection for all raids/dungeons and for Xur tie it behind x full clears and theres not really a bigish problem. Ie, Xur requires 10 full Root clears to buy the exotic, or you can RNG it via drop protection. Shouldn't just be a 'i have done it zero/once so i can buy it' thing - if they were to announce that chance it would give a bit of a burst for people to get that requirement done.

2 RepliesNo, I think he should rather sell spoils every now and then so that one can buy the exotics at the kiosk. Same end result, but one actually has to work towards it or figure out a way to play the raid. At least that's how I see it.

3 RepliesIm still waiting for them to give us a way to get barrow dyad .. I didnt bother w that mission when it was around. Thats my fault but still its been over 6 months. Same with them bringing back zero hour.

Since there is very little appeal in any loot that drops from the old content now, not many people want to run for a low chance at the exotic. My preference would be updating the loot to all old raids, dungeons, and campaigns eventually so they’re all viable at the same time. The featured gear will prevent that from ever happening tho.
