So before the patch that went out on December 16th, killing both taken captains before entering the portal and doing the mission as normally, didn’t drop the taken orb once I inverted the ascendant plane..as of today December 23rd, I finally went to retry to get the trait and the same issue occurs. Taken captains killed, ascendant plane inverted, no orbs spawned. Yes I’m doing the mission on ‘Legend’ Yes I’m activating the timer by shooting the 4 pyramids before jumping down the opening. Yes I’m completing the exotic mission and killing the boss and being teleported to the chest room with no extra chest for the trait. Anyone know if there is something I’m still doing wrong or is there some other workaround because the patch apparently didn’t fix my issue with the orbs spawning where the taken captains are supposed to be.
