And yes, it's likely due to the massively smaller playerbase after EoF launch. But that doesn't mean the current state is fine of casuals up to average and slightly above average players being the punching bag of egomanic-ill PvP gods using us as their personal ego boost.
When I come from work and want to have some fun in PvP, it shouldn't be like this Bungie.
I rather have matches be 4v4 again but with better matchmaking quality when Destiny 2 launched than playing... This stinky mess of PvP in its current state. Way too much ability spam, way too strong exotics (looking at you, Praxic Blade with Hyperblade catalyst and Defensive Form allowing literal OHK dmg directly after a block) and of course way too good players in general PvP.
You can't balance matchmaking around a small player population and catering towards the small, narrow top end while ignoring the broad, massive bottom end.
To put it into corpo lingo for you: "That's like focusing your shop on the most paying customers and then wondering why your customer count goes down overall".
Also, can you PLEASE make every UI ELEMENT from Crucible modes properly transparent? A heavy spawn icon should NEVER cover up an enemy!

Problem is the only people that still play Pvp only play destiny PvP … then again destiny is a pve game
