My suggestion: Exotic Missions shouldn't be included in Conquests.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing through Exotic Missions, but shouldn't Conquests be focused on...you know...content that typically is underplayed or fairly easy to do, with a bit more difficulty added to it? Exotic missions have no place in Conquests and really only make the experience for said Conquests, Exotic Mission, and Guardian Ranks, worst. I think Derailze is fairly easy, however...one thing I have noticed is that a lot of these Exotic Missions have puzzles or mechanics that just straight up kill you...which in most cases is fine, but with limited revives, or by taking away revives after a short amount of time (especially when you yourself make the note of the activity being between 25-30 minutes), it just makes it tedious and unfun. It doesn't bring any challenge, it simply frustrates the player. Difficulty shouldn't be from outside mechanics, such as revives or timers...especially if it isn't originally apart of the mechanic or activity. If your enemies or puzzles aren't already difficult enough, then they shouldn't be considered or promoted with being endgame or challenging content. And if Exotic Missions are to remain in Conquest, either remove the revive tokens or remove the timer, but don't include both, because it makes no sense to have both, unless the player themselves want to enable them. Also the fact you have a mechanic that REQUIRES you to stand still, while also having Haste Trade-Off enabled, is a bit of a stupid move and makes no sense. I get it doesn't kill you, but it causes the mechanic to bug and the visuals for the symbols vanish and makes it hard for you to see exactly where you're standing because it makes the screen red and you're flinching like crazy. Grandmaster Strikes were fun, and I truly believe they deserve to be among Conquests once again. Conquests should remain to be strikes, battlegrounds, and even reclaim is fine...but Exotic Missions, Onslaught, and any other Secret Missions, should remain out of Conquests. Update: Just checked, no where in the modifier list does it grant you information about the timer being tied with the revive system, it only claims to be for a increase in bonus score.

  • When I saw derealize in conquests I completely peaced out on even playing. I absolutely despise that mission, it's everything I hate about destiny, awkward jump puzzles with boops & spikes, phalanx with boop shields between jumps, tormentors, darkness blasts, suppression, horrible ad spam arena boss room, subjagators, & they've added in timers, limited revives, champions, horrible modifiers & delta scaling. & It's a rank 7 requirement 😆 Yeah I'm good thanks, might see you in the summer 🌞

    • I was about to make a post about this too but saw this and thought I'd just come here instead lol. I don't like how conquests are tuned and designed right now either. In my opinion, they aren't supposed to be this end-all-be-all hard -blam!- content. Could I run it with a stronghold titan and just breakdance with the new light saber? Sure, but that isn't fun to do every mission that is meant to take 20+ minutes each. Speaking of time, we seriously only get 15 minutes on missions that were clearly designed to take longer than that... That is exactly the type of game development that is unfair by design. Saying it should be hard does not mean make it unfair. There are plenty of difficult games that are totally fair that didn't need champions, promotions, or banes. Mission design, mechanical design, map/environmental design, level design, etc are what make a game fun. If done well enough, these bring challenges that don't feel tedious or nonsensicle. All this double and triple dipping with modifiers, power deficits, and plain overtuning numbers is bad decision making.

        Whoever decided on that and the modifiers is definitely mental. You run out of time at the jumping puzzle and your dead one wrong jump. Just stupid to even use that mission is damn harder than the grandmasters and it’s just a master mission. Fix your crap Bungie.

        • Bungie should do away with all of these terrible exotic missions. I avoid pinnacle ops just because of these missions and I have a ton of bonus engrams for the as well.

        • For whatever reason derealise feels well over tuned to me. The grandmaster next to it was pretty easy. The timer feels pretty short.

          • Honestly I had ovwr 350 of eaxh raid clear in D1 & Ive not palyed D2 since Barrier cahmps were introduced during black armoury & im 530 & ive not managed to do a single exotic mission,most I cant even figure out how to start them & only having 1 life & back to orbit makes it extremly obnoxious ro play them. Infact this whole revive token thing makes Ghost into Claptrap...Just there to open doors & hack stuff now.

            • I agree Exotic missions should not be used as Conquests. I'd even say that they dont belong in the "pinnacle ops" section either. Pinnacles are supposed to be a big boost in leveling, but an Exotic mission is not meant for leveling. Its meant for acquiring a specific Exotic weapon. Exotic missions should have their own category.

              • When I got to the part of the exotic mission, I took a break, it like let me down! That weird? I just wanted to finish the mission, and see the story. Like it took the wind out of my sails.
