I actually like edge of fate. I really enjoyed the story and the tired system overall.

Particularly as it’s ‘free access’ until the 16th Dec.

Vault Kepler. Bring back the Tangled Shore and Foresaken campaign.

2 RepliesRenegades area is back to the old seasonal load in. New game mechanics for seasonal play through with large maps. The new campaign is relatively quick and enjoyable. The escalating difficulty and limited revives can be frustrating. Relatively enjoyable. Other than that everything else is the same as free to play. The carryover hate is not tied to the new campaign but carryover chaos brought by portal and EoF. Just fair warning that renegades areas may never become free to play.

At least it played like an expansion. Renegades is CLEARLY an episode, everything about it was designed to spread over 7-8 weeks & it was built before final shape because the new voice of zavala is voicing in it, but there's also parts were he doesn't talk & has pop up text boxes instead & the actor has only worked for bungie once for final shape. It also follows the old seasonal model of visiting npcs nonstop, which they said they were cutting & did, so why is it back now? It's 18 months old is why. I did a mission today which took 10 mins & then wasted 20 mins going to 3 npcs like 4 times each & having to listen to unskippable cutscenes, back & forth. It's mundane drivel & cut content brought forward. They should be ashamed of the workmanship, it's stuck together with tape & more things are broken than actually work. Awful

Yeah EoF was such a slap in the face, then when ash & iron came out I quit that same day. Glad I didn’t buy the year edition. I genuinely believe the only way destiny could be great again is if a different developer took over.

I've been playing it for free as well. Definitely won't finish it and not one bit sad about it either. I am honestly happy that I didn't buy it or Renegades.

I Bought EoF DE but have not even started with Renegades and i do not think i will. Bungie can have the Money but If nothing huge happens gameplay wise and the fun factor becomes a Part of the game i wont waste any more dime on this game. Every DLC feels the same. Nothing "New" and 80% of the stuff that was fun are in the vault. Sure the Narrative is good but that i can watch on YT. Really Sad because Destiny has huge potential but right now the peeps over there must have zero ideas on how to make this game fun again.

Same boat. Kepler is one of the least attractive gaming environments I've ever seen. It reminds me of FO4's glowing sea, which all least had good narrative and gameplay reasons to feel inhospitable. This from a game that already contains one of the most beautiful environments is just bizarre.

2 RepliesBungie already quadrupled down on the portal and other ideas from EOF unfortunately they’re not going away
