With the timers on basically everything now. I feel like I can't ever explore and look around during missions. Everything is such a rush. From the exotic quest to the frontier. I want to stop and enjoy the mission. The environment. But with a clock always ticking over my head. I rush right to the end for fear of having to restart or lose everything.

Edited by Toots238857: 12/8/2025 7:40:20 PMThis is more like the "SpaceBalls" version of "Star Wars", than Renegades is. Especially when they were trying to escape Death Star at the end of the movie, with the destruction timer. It's sad what this game has become.

1 ReplyTimers, revive tokens, modifiers, everyone literallty RACING to the end of every activity. They've literally found a way to suck the joy out of every facet of the game. This game is tarded twice.

Edited by Wolves: 12/8/2025 8:56:51 PMThis issue as well as many others have been posted on these forums time and time again. Its been an ongoing theme for multiple seasons, and yet Bungie keeps doing the same thing over and over. Sometimes they change course and remove certain points of contention, only to turn around and add them back with the next update. You may as well talk to the wall at this point, I tend to think walls listen better. Timers and revive tokens need to be removed and forgotten, there is no reason why they can't put them into the customization menu for the sweaties, leave regular activities alone for the rest of us.

6 RepliesYeah, countdown timers are ridiculous. They put all that effort (well, some effort and a lot of re-skins) into creating environments and you can't even enjoy them. So stupid.
-
3 RepliesThat's what happens when you dedicate your game to a group who a committed to doing the hardest content as fast as possible. They try to cater to those people without thinking about the people who like to take their time and take in everything. So we get timers, power deltas, terrible modifiers etc. It's sad really.

1 ReplyNot surprising at all. Every other facet of this game is shaped around sweats. Just look at the evolution of Raid Racing. We went from "woah look at that! That's awesome!" to "get your Eager Edges on. OK. Let's move it guys! Go go go!" Not only is it insulting to the people who want to take their time, it's disrespectful to the devs who spent time working on the environment. Can you imagine being the person who gets told they're going to make a homage to the Wamba cave, only for most players to never realize it's there because they run past it every time?

2 RepliesOP: spot on! I just posted about wanting to go hunt collectibles in a free roam area…without getting blatted nonstop by relentless hostiles. Just say NO! to the N.O. vibe! 👈👈👈 (The Neomuna Overtuna vibe) That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻

6 RepliesThe exotic quest doesn’t have a timer ? Only when you are doing the catalysts You have all the time you want to run around and explore. If you want to explore just lower the difficulty and go in solo and explore. Unless I’m missing something?
-
2 RepliesThere really should be an explore mode, because earlier my two forehead teammates were looking for a ghost while I killed everything
we failed
-
You can remove majority of the timers if you customize the missions
-
5 RepliesYea I think in the custom tab the need to have the option for this mode to remove the timer Honestly this is getting tiresome having timers almost every activity then actually enjoying the mode
-
THere's a private option you can go into to just explore the maps.
-
Besides the frontier and presage you can remove the time bonus under player stakes in GM and ultimate.
