Literally what is the point of power grind if when you get there you basically cant play because everything hits like a friggin truck. You cant play with your friends because there all dead and locked out of everything because revive tokens somehow exist as standard on everything now which is stupid.
And even if you managed to get to the end and somehow manage to kill the boss your left out of the catharsis of picking up your loot because you don't auto respawn at the end of an activity WHEN EVERTHING IS DEAD because yet again revive tokens exist, seriously I understand it being on endgame challenging content like Conquests an stuff where you want to challenge yourself but this is on standard strikes as soon as you hit power.
Its wasting peoples time, and that is the highest form of disrespect.

Do it in normal problem solved. Keep challenging modes for people who actually enjoy the challenge otherwise it's boring

1 ReplyAnd the timers. I can't even enjoy the missions or art design of a level. Or explore. Because everything has either life tokens(which defeats being a guardian), a darkzone wipe mechanic(which defeats being a guardian), or a timer which wipes you restarting the entire mission. (Again, defeating being a guardian. I feel like everything is such a rush that im literally speeding past a game I've barely gotten to stop and see or look at.

Lower the difficulty. Revive tokens are only for high end difficulty.

I think the revive tokens need to either go or constantly recharge like in Helldivers 2 the reinforcements do. They shouldn't be pickups to find. Also, they should keep generating after the timer runs out and you only lose the chance for bonus points. The activity SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FAIL DUE TO A TIMER! This isn't Helldivers 2, Bungie! This is Destiny! Treat it as such!

I'm not condoning this meltdown of Destiny since the Edge of Fate, but I actually had a lot more fun running content at level 10 than I do now. And at 532 I'm struggling now to increase my power level.

1 ReplyIt's not just the revive tokens. It's the, yet again, speeded up enemies with elemental shield, shield and then health. The power deltas. The Champions that teleport every half a second. The endless spawning ads. I'm 550 and everything feels like a chore. A tedious bullet sponge chore where I have to run certain weapons because of Champions. I just ran Devils Lair and by the time we got to level two in the first room the other two had left. Don't blame them. They got plenty of feedback that this was not liked .. and then doubled down on it. And all for reskinned dross anyway. I feel sorry for people trying to get to 550 in this game

The whole point of the game now is to get you moved over to marathon; to get you out of destiny and into to PvPvE extraction mechanics. Limited revive tokens are like bandages/defibrillators in extraction shooters. Run out and it’s game over. Next step is to be able to loot someone’s revive tokens, just watch.

1 ReplyI hated revive tokens since they were brought in during the first raid. It was such a dumb concept. They implement everything they can to make guardians absolutely useless (whether it spits in the face of lore or not) and all the enemies overpowered. Honestly, it feels like Bungie wants the forces of darkness to win sometimes.

1 ReplyAre they completely obtuse at Bungie studios or do they need the negative buzz on social media to stay relevant. I've heard politicians say negative coverage is better than none. So maybe that's the play here, keep players frustrated and voicing their opinions on social media to keep D2 popping up on peoples browsers. I don't get it, they know what we want, "we want to have fun and enjoy" but damn if they don't do the opposite in spite of the negative feedback. I've been a die hard since 2018 but lately its getting more and more difficult to find the will to play.

2 RepliesThe problem isn't with revival tokens, but rather that all accumulated tokens are taken away at level 500 when the timer runs out. I'd accept this if it happened in Nightfall Strikes, but it happens in all customizable missions. As I understand it, the main purpose of the timer is to earn extra points, not to hinder mission completion. Revival token removal should have been introduced as an optional negative modifier, not a permanent one.

Also, if at the end, you run out of tokens, there is a high chance that you will be removed from game due to inactivity (if you are dead). Bungie needs to understand the playerbase. I had a low intelligence team mate who was deflecting a cabal mini bosses attack with light saber in the Ultimate reclamation. Obviously, he was sniped from behind and died. Revives tokens with this general IQ? Not a chance! Also. I'm fed up with BDF and apologists defending this. 😂 Note that people defending this mechanics and Bungie apologists have been blocked by me so no idea what they are saying. Sorry 🤣🤣🤣🤣

2 RepliesThe number of revive token you get is pretty generous. Not to mention you get more revive tokens by opening the [i]numerous[/i] containers dotted throughout each job. I get that it can feel bad when you get close to finishing an activity only for your fireteam to die with 0 revive tokens left, it's a waste of time. Which is why you can choose to enter the Jobs in a private lobby at expert difficulty (power lvl 200, no invasions). You might not get T5 rewards but you get the same amount of rep and bounty progress (which btw ultimately leads to getting T5 gear) as you would playing match-made, GM level, open for invasion, sweat-feast expeditions.

If you feel like your time is wasted then stop wasting it on things that make you feel that way. Yes, have some respect for yourself.
