We are so back 😁 as predicted by peewee, the modern day nostradamus
**Overall:** 584.26k
**PvE:** 581.88k
**PvP:** 51.08k
**Gambit:** 1.67k
**Raid:** 6.12k
**Event:** 911.00
To add: For those of you who don't understand sarcasm, this wasnt a serious take, we lost 1/4 million players from edge day 1 (811k) to yesterday's 584, despite certain people on here claiming 'star wars will save the franchise, it always does big numbers' 😁

6 RepliesNot only did they decide to do the collab, but they focused most of it on the WORST of the 3 trilogies. The Barant Imperium, Dredgen Bael and even Nightfall are basically the First order, Kylo Ren and Starkiller base. With Dredgen Bael following Kylo Ren's personality fairly closely. The only things from the other movies were memes, sound design and minor aesthetics. I really cannot comprehe Bungie's decision making.

🤣🤣🤣 More like killed this game even more

1 ReplyHappily, more and more people have realized D2 DLC is an awful value. Within a couple of months the price is slashed, within a year Sony gives it away, and after that you run the risk of Bungie stealing the content you purchased from them. The real shock is there are still so many people plopping down for highly overpriced DLC. 40 bucks gets you full games that are actually good, and won't be deleted any time soon.

3 RepliesThis season the portal looks to be even worse so again I'll pass . once you blow through the campaign you have to look at the core activities . and since they took away the old GM strikes and didn't add new ones the game hasn't been great. everything l liked ,weapon crafting included . .gone. difficulty got weird,in place of skill now comes nerf ya modifiers . I'll never understand why they thought making the game so miserable to play was a good thing. hypercurrent and avalon ultimate in eof was unreasonable , even by a top 1 percent player. if they ever fix this mess I'll throw some money at them.otherwise nope.

1 Replyadding star wars to this game was the actions of a desperate game studio trying to stay relevant and a movie franchise studio trying to stay relevant you can smell the desperation from bungie and disney over this "dlc" bungie is done and they know it and sony has had enough of them

You lured him out. 🤣 I told you he’d spin it somehow 🤣

Player numbers on the slide already. Steam concurrent players 24 hour high 47k.

1 ReplyWrong. Players are only back for a very short time to complete the campaign. All of the unresolved issues with the rest of the game not the least of which is the portal will become obvious and everyone will leave again in a short amount of time. Game needs to be fixed. The new activities suck worst of previous seasons combined (revives and no health regen) along with extraction gameplay that I along with many others don't want and didn't ask for.

3 RepliesAll job listings on Bungie's career page are gone right after release. Take that how you will.

I thought the star wars franchise was a dying brand (to quote a Disney exec). It is well past it's use by date and recent movies and TV series haven't done well. For star wars to save d2, is like a blind man to donate his eyes to another blind man.

Give it a week or two and it will be sub 100k active players again. They are just barely over that now with 120k…
-
I don’t think anyone expected good numbers here, but I really do like what I’ve played so far. Hopefully they keep doing better and we can rebuild a little bit
-
Piggybacking on another fading franchise to save your own fading franchise doesn't seem like a sound way to revive interest in the game. For me, if they did a campaign where the Guardians finally free all the other planets and locations in the Solar system from enemies and there were missions to rebuild civilization there, I'd be all in on it. Instead, they still have one measly city with broken areas in it. So much for restoring the Golden Age that the Traveler brought.

1 ReplyI'm sensing a great sarcasm in the force... 🤣🍻

Edited by Andy-ALAW BEEP-BEEP: 12/4/2025 8:10:54 PMIt’s a great crossover Destiny lore with stars wars which a lot of younger people won’t understand and think this is great
-
2 RepliesI heard bungie wanted to do Star Wars games but instead they made Destiny. I like Destiny as it felt more original ideas not copying Star Wars. Part of the opening scene made me rolled my eyes like someone making a crossover or copying another idea that isn’t original and is outdated. I like it better when Destiny was Destiny.

19 RepliesOnly D3 will save the franchise.

Need to top one million to be back. Only time will tell.

3 RepliesYou know those steel plates the military put over the cracks in Hawkins? That's what Star Wars is for Destiny.

I only came back to play the campaign, get the lightsaber & do the new dungeon/get the black crystal. I had already paid for it and was beginning to develop ptsd from battlefield so figured what the heck
