Softlock
Skipped the drifter cutscene after first mission in cantina and got soft locked changed characters watched the cutscene and still soft locked bungie why

I've managed to softlock this mission three different ways. I've never experienced this much failure in Destiny.

Had the same problem and managed to get past it. I don't know if it was just "5th time's the charm" or not, but I interacted with the bar and then touched literally nothing for the entire duration of the dialogue and cutscene. After the cutscene finished, a few seconds passed and the prompt to progress appeared.

1 ReplyFor some reason it didnt reply to here but to someone else. For some reason soft lock still happens. I tried Alt + F4 and rebooted the game. Didnt skip cutscene and it finally worked. Maybe restarting the game fixes this?

This happened to me once when I watched the entire cutscene and once again after I restarted my game and tried to skip. Couldn't skip drifters dialog, but I skipped the cutscene. Still softlocked. Just updated and restarted my computer. Gonna try again

Same thing for me. Got through by starting cutscene. Wait until drifter in the bar cuts to cinematic. Start skipping then. Keep spamming skip button when it cuts back to your guardian at the bar. Will progress to next step.
