Someone else’s post inspired me to post this.

I’ve been doing a little bounty prepping this last day or so. Mainly because I just wanted something mindless and easy to do for a change.
Compare Kepler to the Dreaming city, the Moon, Nessus, the EDZ, Savathun’s Throne World, Europa, hell even the Cosmodrome and Neomuna.
Kepler is an uninspired rabbit warren of blandness. It doesn’t even fit in with the look and feel of Destiny.
It was done on the cheap and made as difficult as possible to traverse through to waste time.
Go for a drive on any of the destinations and you’ll quickly see the difference. The beauty and wonder of Destiny was lost with this 💩 show of an expansion.
It’s literally their worst showing in nearly every category within Destiny.
Worst destination
Worst skybox (what skybox? Except for the occasional glimpse it’s like we never see more than 30 feet in front of us. As for that yellow-green sick coloured traversal section to the bland Fallen boss I dont remember the name of, -blam!--ing gross 🤢🤮)
Worst activities.
Worst experience on launch
Worst grind
Worst mechanics ( Matterspark and the other two, especially that -blam!--ing relocator🤮)
The Portaloo
Worst Story, except CoO
Worst Campaign, except CoO
Shove it in the DCV, then set fire to it so we can be sure it never escapes.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. It’s the first time since ShadowKeep I haven’t completed the campaign on all three characters. Just couldn’t bear to do it again. I didn’t do fabled or mythic either for the same reason.
I’d rather play Avalon Ultimate Conquest eternally than ever set foot on those miserably designed missions in EoF’s campaign again.
Literally the only good things about Edge of Fate were the guns and the armour.
Edit :- and the Title screen music, mainly due to D1 memberberries.
Very bad. The campaign was a slog. The other activities were mostly 💩. Bungie’s decisions regarding EoF showed just how out of touch they are with the player base. I Didn’t bother playing until the Halloween event. Just plain a##
Worst Story
Nah, man. Not at all. Lodi is such a good character. The only crappy part of the story is the immensely lame Conductor and maybe the joke of a villain, “The Archon,” but he’s so dumb that it’s funny, which I honestly can’t tell if Bungie did that on purpose or not. Beyond Light wasted time and ignored the main thing it should’ve been introducing (The Pyramids) Lightfall made little to no sense, wasted time, and butchered not one, but two really cool antagonists, Calus and Nezarec Shadowkeep did basically nothing. They just said “yeah, the Pyramids do in-fact exist. Edge of Fate expanded on the Nine, and set the stakes for the Destiny universe post-Witness. They averted the mistake the MCU made after Endgame, and quickly made it clear what the new threat is, which is our own extinction written in prophecy by beings who are pretty much never wrong about the future because they’ve seen it.

3 RepliesHot take, I didn’t mind Matterspark. But, the campaign was twice as long as needed to be for what I can only assume was to encourage buying campaign skips. Also, Maya Sundaresh didn’t work as a villain in Episode: Echoes, and she doesn’t work as a late-addition villain here. She was better as a silent antagonist in the lore for Clovis Bray. He should be the one to be leading the Vex, not her.

Can I add the worst motion sickness I’ve had playing a non VR game in years ?

Another part I sorely missed was environmental storytelling. I don’t find the narrative or cutscenes very engaging but I would still understand through the environments. This was especially bad for eof since the story is not as simple.
