Going forward, can you not do 2 versions of a raid and 2 contest weekends? Instead, just do 1 raid and then use the freed up
resources to give the players a new strike and pvp map instead. Raids only benefit a select few. Strikes and pvp maps benefit 100% of players. Please don't forget about the normal players going forward. There are a lot of us, we just aren't as vocal

1 ReplyEdited by Obelix: 12/1/2025 8:35:16 PMFully agree, Raids takes too much money for the numbers of players engaging. And the Day1 race is just a big marketing event, I’m a bit tired of seeing my money spent so streamers can get views, while the rest of the game still need a lot of love.

3 RepliesNo. They need to devote all their resources into an activity that like 3% of the playerbase cares about anymore. And I want nothing but puzzles and platforming from puzzle to puzzle. No shooting. How else will Datto get what he wants, realize nobody else wants what he wants and then cry about how his views have dropped and then blame you? C'mon. Common sense here.

1 ReplyEdited by PandaPapa146: 12/2/2025 12:19:51 AMIn D1, we raided virtually nonstop. My best time ever was as a bubble T with ToM helping a rapidly expanding FL to drop Oryx, and complete the new Triumphs Year Book. 🥳 Then, they nerfed ToM…then came the Sunset debacle…then most of my FL virtually evaporated overnight…then I bounced - over to WF. Some time later…I returned to Destiny’s shores…but this time, my engagement with the game is very different and somewhat limited: I don’t do raids or dungeons or ridiculous quests anymore. I do* a lot of vanilla stuff with my vanilla builds, and that’s enough for me. The Neomuna Overtuna vibe that intensified at Lightfail is the biggest turnoff for this old tortoise. I have no issues with raising the ceiling all the way to the stars - for those vey few who crave such…but raising the floor, too, for the greater majority - * is just ridiculous. Just look at the numbers of those who do raid and do dungeons and continue to chase ludicrous RNG mcguffins. And then there’s the 70% Raid Cheaters Club. 🧐 Aside from all that, the time investment required to do a raid is just too much! Also, unless one is in an active Clan, which many, many Guardians are not, going to FTF to find a raid crew is not a healthy option either…☠️💩☠️ And Discord - though essential these days for effective Clan and ‘in game’ communications, ain’t everyone’s cup of tea. The D1 raid vibe was destroyed deliberately. The D2 Neomuna Overtuna vibe is working just as hard…😈💩😈 That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY * autobot typos ✅

Edited by S7arLord87: 12/2/2025 10:45:27 AMRaids are one of the things that make Destiny, Destiny but investing the majority of the resources into an activity that the minority of the playerbase will engage with can't be good for business

2 RepliesI will start out by admitting that (when the game is in a decent enough state to keep a clan alive) I am a raider. I've tried Contest, and find it terminally unfun, and have exactly 0 interest in watching CCs struggle through it (even now that they're required to actually you know, stream the raid, rather than a black screen/their cat/some elevator music) But even though I do engage in raids, I actually agree. I do want there to be more raids made, but the resource spend on it needs to be proportional. And even us raiders, we aren't in raids 100% of the time; most of us are in raids <10% of the time, because we run through with other experienced raiders and get our loot pretty quickly. So we need the rest of the game to also be fun and engaging, at least some of the time, be that Strikes, PvP, Seasonal Activities, whatever.

34 RepliesRaids are for everyone, just because you’re too entitled to play it doesn’t mean it’s not available to you.

1 ReplyThe story missions can go. Doing the campaign on 3 characters feels like a chore.

3 RepliesWait till you find out the next mid dlc season is called pantheon. Yes they're bringing pantheon back again, & nothing else. So a full update & battle pass for a raid boss gauntlet, yikes

1 ReplyThis right here. This is one of the best reasons I heard about content for every one, not just the 0.5% of the players that sweat for a world first. Then again BungLe where never the ones to listen to the vast majority of their player base and look where it got them now....................................

i actually miss when we had more creative narratives had good replayability especially in strikes even if they weren’t relevant liminality was probably the last one we have gotten before nessus revamp strike which i wont say was a let down but man i feel like im taking things for granted now idc if its not on the conqueror title triumphs but at least let me play other strikes actually in FT ops actually :( not the selected stuff (i actually liked corrupted) we at least had maybe 2 or 3 almost every expansion back in early days even before D2

4 RepliesEdited by Ferus Lux: 12/1/2025 10:16:35 PMRaids stopped being cool after Deep Stone Crypt. Theyre all just symbol reading and dumping on a boss that's just watching from the back ground posing no immediate threat--Rhulk being the only exception, that guy was awesome. They're basically just gooning like Cell against the Z fighters, until you mess up. Once Bungie sees the Dungeon played more than the Raid yet again maybe they'll stop wasting resources on an outdated formula. Everything done in Raids could be be streamlined to be equally as challenging for 3 players and the Ultimatum Dungeons proved this.

1 ReplyTiers. THAT is what I've been saying. Easy, normal and hard modes for raids, or for ANYTHING for that matter. I used to sherpa raids but I've noticed almost nobody in LFG doing it any more. It's the same reason the onboarding for this game is so atrocious, Bungo only caters to streamers and people that don't even have REAL jobs. I personally think Renegades will be the last chance this game ever gets, cuz these numbers SCREAM do or die and there's no safety net of players to fall back on this time.

Raiders get content once every 6 months. Stop crying development goes into a part of the game you dont play.

Looks like everyone is excited for the new drop, there's still time to try and claw your way into Avalon,

Trust me… y’all are vocal enough

4 RepliesEdited by SailGREid-3: 12/1/2025 10:43:40 PMIf raids were not a thing the game would have died years ago. We already get one raid instead of two per year. A new strike is not going to save the casual experience but an epic raid will give many hours of gameplay to the people who engage with it.
-
Raids just need to be simplifed more. The whole current reward system for them is sort of designed around replaying it multiple times but with feats that make it harder but most people can barely do a normal raid let alone -40 + less revives + only 2 damage phases + encounter challenges just to get T5 gear. I think going forward reward wise it should just be: Normal raid - T3 with a chance of T4 with encounter challenges guaranteeing a T4 with a chance at T5. Epic Raid - T4 with a chance of T5 with encounter challenges guaranteeing a T5 and also dropping 2-3 items from the chest to make it worthwhile over just farming normal. But the way it currently works is that the raid team is its own thing so cutting the epic raid wouldn't really get us an extra strike or crucible map.
-
Raids are the best content this game has to be fair though.
-
I don’t believe those “freed-up resources” would suffice to even pay for a handful of assets for said strike or pvp map. It's just different difficulties, not entirely different activities.

4 RepliesI feel like they designed The Portal with you in mind. Did you not get everything you just asked for in EOF?
