Destiny: The Original Story Board-ish

I have no insider knowledge. I'm just looking back at the story after playing for the past 11 years. This is how I would have structured the first saga: Chapter One: The Fallen (Two Year Story) The Awoken are introduced here as in the original game. Focus on the Eliksni. Start the way the game does until The Devil’s Lair Strike. Continue through all of the Fallen story beats up to when we meet Mithrax on Europa and his House joins The Last City in that story line. End this story beat with the disagreement between him and Eramis. Story beats between them can still be organically introduced in this new timeline without introducing any Darkness powers. End with Eramis talking to Mithrax and the Guardian as she leaves the system about a power to come. No more Fallen enemies. They’ve either been defeated by the Guardian, become an ally, or left. Chapter Two: The Cabal (Two Year Story) Obviously, focus on the Cabal. Same as the Eliksni, follow the Destiny storyline. Leave in hints of the Vex and the Black Garden but don’t show or reveal yet. Stick with the Emperor Calus storyline (and, yes, his eventual madness), Ghaul and the Red Legion story, and Caiatl’s ascension as leader. End with a cutscene of the next expansion showing the Gate on Mars. Chapter Three: The Vex (Two Year Story) Basically, like in the game, the Awoken have been MIA for two years. They are back. But instead, they are here to help with the appearance of the Vex… and with the help of Caiatl’s Cabal. We basically do all the same things we did in the original story without all of the extra work and with a lot more story explaining what’s going on (even that part that the Black Heart being a failed attempt at the Vex trying to recreate The Veil), which we learn about in a much better version of The Curse Of Osiris. No Neomuna because The Veil is in The Infinite Forest. No Awoken enemies. They have joined the coalition that has been made by the City, Eliksni, and Cabal. Chapter Four: The Hive And The Witness (Four Year Story) I wouldn’t change much. Just the whole Crota thing. I’d extend that and make that more meaningful so that when Oryx shows up it’s more of an impact. Oryx still introduces The Taken. Follow that immediately with The Witch Queen, follow that with the season where Eris becomes the God Of Vengeance, and end it with the end of the saga. Xivu Arath currently is MIA because of Eris’s action. Savathûn has moved on to other places but is still a future threat. We still meet all of the Disciples, including Calus, but after his defeat and that of the Witness, the Shadow Legion and the Dread have disappeared. All is done… but with a coda. After the final cutscene in the raid (or final battle for regular players (same cutscene)), just have a black screen, with a small shimmering light in the middle with a voiceover from The Winnower saying, “The Flower Game Is Not Over. We Are Still Playing.”
