Portal Fatigue
I really want some low-stakes activities for new loot. Every activity dropping the same loot is boring, this would've been a nice way to add an option to get portal loot or the original activities loot pool.
But I also just want to play something low stakes and fun, FOTL kinda did that with Haunted altars.

The game definitely had a lot more for everyone during the final shape. The new system is linear and doomed to fail. A lot of players were destined to hit the point where they stop having fun in the game.
