You’re better off buying it if you really want the helmet. I struggled to keep top 10% without the pass, found out there was a 15% score boost attached to it, bought it and now am top 10% in four of them pretty easily.
With how on the edge I was on 10% without the pass, getting occasionally knocked out of that threshold below 100 points, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bungie formulated the event this way to force people to buy the pass.

3 RepliesIf the flame didn’t go away after 3 months then maybe the pass is worth it. But if the flame is what’s selling the helmet, you have to keep buying season passes unless they take that score booster off of the paid track.

You would think by now that Bungie would realise that people are not happy with the 1% bs They have done this in the past, where you had to finish the event with a 1% score, and then they changed it to 10%

4 RepliesCongrats you fell for it!!!! Hope it was worth it! I won’t give money until they make the game enjoyable again. Played since January 2015 and have had bouts of not buying when I am not excited to play. Guess I am back at that point where I do not care to pay to play.

1 ReplyYou BOUGHT the helmet? FFS. You justified the very thing you're complaining about. You DO realise that don't you?
