Hi Guardians! I just hit 500 with my main (Warlock) and am curious to hear some comments on how the change from GM to Ultimate difficulty feels. I know it will now be -30 delta, but are there things I should watch out for? Champs much harder to kill? Enemies that hit harder?
I am an average player....usually die a few times per mission. Just really interested in hearing your thoughts on the transition. I am currently playing a couple builds I enjoy - Contraverse Hold/Axion Bolt & Getaway Artist/Arc Soul/Ionic Sentry.
Thanks!

I would say it's very unbalanced. You're better to play ultimate with a group and not solo. I feel like at this point bungie only cares about making games harder and not to actually improve overall quality with better rewards which is one of the major reasons why people left the game now.. It's like bungee forgets this is supposed to be a looter shooter not a challenge shooter..

Honestly, it's just the lack of revives, but kill a few champs and you are golden.

If you’re not efficient at keeping your revives up, Ultimate can ruin your day. You start with 1 Revive which punish non self sufficient aggressive playstyles. But a good amount of awareness is enough to make Ultimate not feel that bad.

Eventually you get used to the changes in damage output. Once you have a build you like and you learn to focus fire champions with your teammates, it becomes less of an issue. Just be sure to watch out for Deadly elemental threat modifiers, as they will make you question your sanity. Hypernet Current with Deadly Arc Threat is pure torture.

So much easier than it used to be.

2 RepliesThe hardest activities in destiny right now are the Grandmaster “Conquests”. Every other difficulty in the game is just easy mode once your that power level. It really makes no sense to be honest. Also, you unlock Ultimate at 470 now.

I did an ultimate run & didn't notice a difference. As long as you're 470+, you're golden.

Just kill a champ or to, for revives, prettiest much the same.

You won't notice the change.

Generally speaking it’s not too bad
