When politics and 'trigger words' are more important than actual staff and gamers (aka paying customers), you know their focus isn't on making a great game. It's DEI over competence. Virtue signaling over doing the actual job. I bet they have "cancelled" some of their best staff over politics, guaranteed. I'd also bet money their HR is run like a cult rather than an actual studio, ensuring compliance and weeding out 'undesirables'. I feel bad for the average employee that is forced to comply with this hostile environment that's been hijacked by irrelevant activism. It's the root of much if not MOST of their problems. Renegades will show the world if they are even CAPABLE or deserving of the game they inherited from the legends they treated with such disdain.

The root of the problem is Bungie stopped developing content for D2 to focus on Marathon and the microtransaction store. If you want to blame it on DEI knock yourself out.
-
Nah. They are just incompetent.

This is not DEI this is just incompetence from the top down this started when Bungie changed the motto from we make game we want to play look at past companies that have dropped Bungie do to incompetence Apple Microsoft activation all these companies knew that bungie is never on time and now the worst thing you can do is over deliver naw destiny is gone now we lost all the fun and I don’t think it will ever come back Bungie killed destiny with greed and incompetence

DEI spilled my milk. I was drinking a cold, refreshing glass of milk in my kitchen when DEI came up, slapped the milk out of my hand, looked me in the eye and said "No one will ever believe you." It's true! You know it, I know it, everybody knows it, it's just common sense! DEI spilled my milk and now I'll never get that milk back. Thanks, DEI.

A DEI wrote this post. It’s obviously incompetent.
