Cross Save Steam Account Issue
I had an old Steam account linked in my Cross Save, but I deleted that account years ago. I recently made a new Steam account but I cannot connect the new one to Cross Save because the old one is still linked. I tried deactivating Cross Save so I can add the new account, but I am unable to deactivate Cross Save because it wants me to login to my Steam account before doing so. I have contacted Steam about this and they said the old account for sure no longer exists. Meaning I cannot login because the account simply isn't there anymore. Is there another way to unlink the old account so I can play on Steam again with my new one?
(In case this is relevant, I play on Xbox at the moment)

4 RepliesHello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] Unfortunately, as of March 20 of this year, it is no longer possible to unlink any platform account from your Bungie profile. To add to this, even before that change, you would need to login to all accounts to disable cross save and once more to remove the linkage. Deleting the account creates a soft lock which becomes permanent if one is unable to restore access to the deleted account.

1 ReplyI’ve been wondering the same thing. Bungie not allowing for account unlinking obviously never accounted for this situation.
