Bungie: Please advertise the changes you've made to the Portal during the run-up to Renegades.
The Portal is not the same today as it was when Edge of Fate launched; the loot is better, the leveling is faster, the difficulty spikes are smoothed out. No, I'm not saying the Portal is perfect, I'm saying it's better than it was four months ago - and if someone hasn't played in four months, they may not know that.
Bungie is in kind of a spot, if people don't think the game has changed, that the sharp spots have been sanded down, they may be reluctant to come back and give the game another chance.
We know the changes because we're active players, we follow the TWIDs, we've seen the changes first hand, but not everybody has.

(Something like that, but with correct patch numbers.)
An infographic or advertisement talking about the improvements that have been made may encourage players to give the game another shot. The TWID alone doesn't cut it.

The problem is that leveling is STILL the center of attention and 90+% of the game STILL isnt in the Portal, bottlenecking all meaningful/contributing content into the (nearly) same small offering since launch. Yes, leveling got better. But also, it's largely still pointless. 😁 Just saying.

Adjusting power progression and what old pointless activities are thrown into the portal doesn't matter at all. What really matters is Bungie putting content in the damn game, anyone who isn't invested in Destiny doesn't care if the portal drops are +3 instead of a +2 they care about actual CONTENT.

The portal may be better than it was when first implemented. But the game is still worse than it was prior to the Edge of Fate launch. It’d be like Bungie saying “hey see those things we made worse, well they’re still worse just not as much”. -
3 RepliesEOF has been out for 4 months, not 6 months. Loot has been improved, which helps, but the underlying problems remain. Grinding for the sake of grinding, power deltas that serve to hinder to the point of chasing what you want so difficult it's not fun, and putting all of your eggs in one basket on the portal. Even with the changes to improve everything, I have not yet to pick up my controller to play again. Can it change? Sure but I am not hopeful. I am burned out and I don't know if I will not feel better any time soon.

Bungie doesn't like outright showing stuff, just like they don't livestream their twabs, just like they don't like giving proper numbers (example: telling "get kills in insert-activity" and the bar being a % rather than just saying how many

The changes implemented with the release of EoF made me quit the game. Is this game in its current state, as good as it was before the release of EoF? If the answer is no, then -blam!- keep renegades.

I just came back after 3 months and agree that the levelling is better and there is more content in the portal. BUT the portal still sucks all life and soul out of the world of destiny. It’s made it a level select screen.
