Now that everyone has time to settle, after long and tedious grinds, after trial and errors, and after changes and patches to improve the power climb experience, I think one aspect still needs to be addressed : activity timers.
Bungie talks about “build crafting” left and right, but the cold truth is there is no build crafting since EOF. For the most part you need Mint, an ability spam, and eager edge sword for fast movement in order to make the activity timer. Don’t get me wrong, run and gun is fun sometimes, but because of the time restrictions (on top of numerous negative modifiers), we’re forced to do that all the time. In many scenarios there’s no room to test guns, builds or simply enjoy the game. Some days I don’t mind sweating, but I also like to slow down and enjoy the gunplay with different load outs.
I don’t know if bungie even read their own feedback forum, but I thought I’d bring up this issue. The restrictive timer / time limit for bonus should be seriously looked at. (Maybe completion grants the focused gears, while completion before time limit bonus grants extra loot.)
Even though there’s a lot of negativity and toxicity surrounding the game, some of us would like to see Destiny 2 thrive again.

Edited by Howiepenguin: 11/8/2025 2:17:35 AMI too still hope. We gotta hold on to hope. It's the last thing that's holding me. That's why I still come on to these forums. In hopes that I will see an actual change for the better. Not what they keep doing to try and backpedal. The fact that they added timers again just shows they don't know what we want. They had timers in NFs at the start of D2 that would kick us to orbit if we didn't finish in time. And now we're back to timers that hinder us in new ways. They can't help themselves when it comes to timers for some reason. I'm starting to think there is a dev or devs that have a thing for speedrunning in that studio. It's too niche to be forcing on to everyone on practically everything.
