Cross Save woes-Bungie need assistance
So I finally purchased a PS5 Pro, after years of being an Xbox guy. I had a long time account with my xbox and steam account, with hundreds of hours on my xbox logged. I took a break for over a year with the game, came back, and wanted to cross save link my new playstation account with my existing bungie account that has my steam and xbox accounts. Imagine my surprise at what needed to be done.
Not only that, but it seems i have an OLDER playstation account linked, one that I havent used in years and cant possibly remember my account to, and now I can't unlink and deactivate my cross save beacuse of it.
I understand the reason behind it, but from what I'm reading, taking away deactivation abilites was not a good idea. I could use assistance on this, I'll gladly wait the 90 days its fine, its more or less I don't want to have to grind away and get my stasis and strand full kits again, when i could simply just link my xbox account to my new playstation account.

Since March 25th's [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url], which you mentioned, only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the old PlayStation account in question will remain linked. We recommend reaching out to PlayStation support for assistance in recovering that account.
