"Warlock Deimosuffusion
While a Strand Super is equipped, casting Rift will suspend nearby enemies. Suspend deals damage over time, healing you in the process. Combatants who break free from suspension suffer additional damage. Defeating suspended targets heals you a moderate amount.
Editor's Note: This originaly said it would suspend combatants, but this will actually suspend both combatants and players."
Why.... why would you waste the use of an exotic helmet slot (with so many other options available and tbh 100% more useful)
When 1) it suspends yourself (probably with the same slowing mechanic suspend usually has) and the combatants.....
I mean I hate to say this but I would rather of had a Strand buddy to collect all the Buddy elements, than have the same slow rift animation Warlocks still have since D1.
Not only that but with the punishing deltas that are still in this game survivability (dont give me that bs of skill issue and git gud comments) is not great.
Just do better Bungie...ffs
This is just another wasted Warlock exotic.

They're saying that the original note they had said combatants instead of enemies for suspending - this part specifically 'casting Rift will suspend nearby enemies' - had that been combatants it would've meant the exotic wouldn't have been able to suspend enemy players in PvP. For how it'll work: Bungie uses different terms to describe which perks/effects work against who. Guardians -> enemy players in PvP/Gambit Enemies/Targets -> both PvP/PvE enemies Combatants -> PvE enemies With how Bungie use the terms in mind, the perk when broken down should function like this (unless they've included the wrong keywords): "While a Strand Super is equipped, casting Rift will suspend nearby enemies. Suspend deals damage over time, healing you in the process" -> works against PvE enemies and PvP enemy players "Combatants who break free from suspension suffer additional damage" -> PvE enemies only "Defeating suspended targets heals you a moderate amount" -> works against PvE enemies and PvP enemy players
