first pick up the 300 chest over by Zavala (you get 1- 300LL piece of gear for every slot on one character) finish any story that you have on legendary. decide if your willing to grind to Guardian rank 9 LL 450, for that's the bench mark for T5 stuff. running crucible/trials is the fastest way imo (when IB rolls around get that armor set - good bonuses) start playing competitve for Solemn Resemblance HC (if you like HC) firefly/headstone is what you seek. then it's about the grind, chase those drops, the more drops the faster the climb spec into stat abilites for armor (melee's/hunter&titan)(grenades/warlock) at 70 stat that's like old 100. For me it's 70 then 120 then 150+ where I notice difference in game play. warlock at 200 grenade is god like with all the souls you can have going at one time. Hunter throwing knife is vicious in crucible. have fun!
