I’ve been watching the actual active player count at peak times and when the game is struggling to even get more than 8k people. 7,641 at the time of this post. And at a 25 hour peak is 12,681. Maybe this game is dying, I don’t want it to but bungie has lost the good will of its community. with all the lackluster content (and what they give us content as a stretch) maybe they should honestly just keep the servers up but step away from the game. It’s very evident that the studio doesn’t know what direction they need to go and even when they think they do it it’s always the wrong way. The last “good”content we got was the final shape but that was the endgame story of the light/Dark sage so granted it probably was going to be. But for that, what was the last good dlc. Witch queen? Forsaken? I’m not completely sold on renegades being anything else than a 4 maybe 5 out of 10. I really hope I’m wrong because I’ve playing Destiny since the destiny 1 alpha and have been a constant player since then. I don’t know if I’m just burnt out or what has made. Destiny special has slowly faded and gone away with many other games before it. I’m not sure what bungie can do at this point and time to gain some traction and faith when it comes to the game and the community. 90% of anything I hear on the Internet that is related to destiny 2 is negative which is in all honesty very valid. Went to last time we got a new PvP map? A strike that wasn’t re-skinned? I’m not a programmer or anything like that so I can’t say on how hard or time-consuming it would be to make that possible but the game is dying, and this is a fact.. bungie needs a Hail Mary and get its game back on track. They need to go big, they need to take a risk and make something memorable. Renegades isn’t gonna have a raid, it’s going to have a dungeon, which is fine dungeon to cool and all but the community needs more, not from eververse, but from the game. Something to strive for, something that is going to give us the community hope that bungie and the Destiny franchise will be around for another decade.
