Further issues to fix.

Look obviously sun setting is unpopular, it's unpopular because it just removes all the weapons that we actually want and like. Then we have weapons, where you try to give them literally everything, and we still just don't like them, riptide is a great example, it feels terrible, it's not very popular, I haven't encountered a single person and all of my years that likes riptide. This junk is just clogging the loot pool. It's a weapon that is so bad that even though we are no longer actively getting it, we still hate it, a lot of us hate the fact that it even exists in game and no one wants it to. Now riptide is a very extreme example, however there are probably a couple of other weapons that nobody would come to the defense to. You guys have to, and I would strongly suggest doing this, make a in-game voting system, we're all active players who are playing, can pick a weapon in existence, to remove from the game. It cannot be a vote with a set thing, it cannot be a vote where you pick the options, it literally needs to be a vote where people just name the weapon, and then you remove that weapon. I'm confident that we had such a vote that the very first weapon that would get removed is in fact riptide. Now the other problem that is going on with Destiny is that there is just no good -blam!- reason to use some exotics. Despite having two perks and a catalyst, then the respective intrinsics, as well as the type of weapon or frame and the type of ammo, the reality is that a lot of legendary weapons are just better than exotics. Take for example the Jade rabbit versus the hung jury, there is absolutely no reason for me a Jade rabbit main, and I was a Jade rabbit mane back in beyond light, there's no reason for me to use the Jade rabbit over the hung jury. Kinetic tremors alone makes Jade rabbit completely invalid, then we factor in that my hung tree has better ammo, it has better recoil, as a faster fire rate, and just over all the same time to kill, and it has a better scope. The weapon is just Superior in every single regard. So how do we fix this? Well give Jade rabbit a third perk. Give it another perk, hell give it another two perks, something like rampage, frenzy, some of these more generic perks, really don't break the game on an exotic weapon, and some of these exotic weapons just need the extra help to give them some kind of purpose. They don't have one. Another example, take wither horde, what reason is there to use wither horde over any area denial grenade launcher? What reason is there to use whether horde over the pardon our dust grenade launch? There is none. This weapon is actually probably one of the weakest examples, and yeah at one point in time back when it could stun bury your champions, it was considered one of the greatest weapons in the game, nowadays there's absolutely no reason to use it over literally any other area of denial grenade launcher, and what's worse there's sometimes not even a reason to use it over some of the more mediocre grenade launchers, this weapon has got to have something given to it, exotic weapons should actually feel exotic. If this weapon got two more perks on top of what it already has, maybe even random roll perks, or perks outside of its archetype, people would want it. If you gave with or something like kinetic tremors, it really wouldn't break the game, but everyone would want it. Now listen I understand that some weapons are supposed to suck, however one of those archetypes of weapons that are not supposed to suck, is the exotic weapons. They're supposed to be Head and shoulders above legendaries. However some of these exotic weapons are aging, rapidly, as the game progresses and becomes more powerful, and the sandbox adapts, these exotic weapons just get left behind in the dust, and they can't be pardoned so easily for it. Now I would love to say that there was a reason to use some of these older exotics, because I have nostalgia attached to them, yet even in a PVP contacts they still just fall flat on their face, and I'm not saying that all weapons have to be touched, because there are some that just don't need the help, there's no reason to touch suros regime, that gun melts people, and a hilarious sort of way, when I hop in PvP and I get absolutely annihilated by it, I think to myself what sniper rifle is that? Only to read the left corner and realize that it's this exotic diet completely forgotten about because only very few people remember to use it. Seriously that thing is nuts, and it doesn't need a nerf, it doesn't need help, in fact it's a great reality check, because it makes me feel stupid for not using it. However when we look at weapons like wither horde or the Jade rabbit, the reality is that you don't feel stupid for not using them, you feel stupid for using them, instead of a lot of times literally anything else. Give these weapons some love, give them extra perks, you can even make those rolls random perks, and it also inherently give us something to do. An exotic weapon that nobody uses, going from having essentially five perks overall plus a catalyst, to having seven perks overall plus and catalyst, well now it doesn't matter what the legendaries can roll with, because exotic weapons will be head and shoulders just above legendaries. Then even if they're completely random roles of perks, it doesn't actually break the game that much, our abilities are inherently way more powerful than anything any of these weapons can even offer anyways, and top it off, you can only have one exotic weapon. So on a PVE or a PVP context there's still a reason to reach for your legendary, the only catch, the only thing to worry about, is not making one weapon be able to do everything, and the sandbox as it currently stands already does that for you, bury your champions, overload champions, unstoppable champions, these guys inherently automatically make it so that no one weapon does everything. Funnily enough, the only single one weapon that can stop all three types of champions, is riptide, and no one wants to use riptide, because it feels terrible. So even if we had an exotic weapon that could literally do it all, there's still a chance that people might ignore it. Last thing to fix is the portal, now I know you've heard on and on about how terrible the portal is, I just think you need to rework the portal. Make the portal not something to access planetary content with, but instead just make it a place to access activity content. Bring some of the old activity content back too, see right now you have a whole like thing where we have to select one of the four categories, between what is essentially the new version of grandmaster, crucible solo ops, and nightfalls, I would say remove all of the that. Replace it with a four slot thing, so for slot one I would put holidays, slot two seasons, slot three exotic campaigns, slot four lost sectors. Now you're probably wondering how this would work, well in the holidays, we can access our banner, trials of cyrus, christmas, halloween, all of those events, all year round, the only catch with that is that we can only access the previous content, the new content will still of course sit in its own separate little tab right above the four categories, meaning that if people want to play a Christmas event from say 3 years ago to get a weapon from that event, rather than new stuff, they can, now if they want to do that say in the middle of july, they can. There's no reason for this content itself to disappear. Seasons should have access to specific seasonal content that we don't have access to, treasure hunts, deep dives, stuff like that, year-round, lost sectors tab should just be a tab where you can access lost sectors, quickly, it should not replace being able to go to the plan and play that lost sector, it should just be a really quick place to jump into the thing and do the thing. As for the exotic quest missions, well you play the exotic mission, at a higher difficulty, you can replay exotic missions that you normally couldn't have replayed, and it will scale with your level, it'll guarantee that particular exotic, whether it's a armor piece, or a weapon, and the higher your light score the better the roll of that particular thing will be, it will not replace exotic missions, but rather just serve as a thing to allow you to replay exotic missions at a higher difficulty, offering a guaranteed exotic and the potential for further rewards. This would be handy not just because it would essentially replace grandmasters, with content that already exist in the game as is, but it also allow people who like certain exotic missions, who even though they have the exotic already, want to go back and play that particular mission, take example of the mission to get riskrunner, that mission is kind of fun. Now perhaps that's a poor example because it's pretty easy to access that mission and replay it, but there are other exotic emissions that don't exist anymore, or can only be played once and that's it. Lastly is the final little touch, all the stuff that's getting removed from the portal should go back into its respective place within the the world page. Now this cannot just stop there, the vendor reputation for all vendors needs to come back, just because we can outright buy everything, doesn't mean it's not nice to have a vendor reputation, now most of this gear can't even be used in one part of the game, the newer parts of the game, which I would argue is a bad idea but you guys don't seem to want to budge on that. Fine whatever, I think that's a bad idea, at the very least you should put things on a rotation, but with the vendors, we should still be getting free gear based on our level and reputation with those vendors, or if we're not going to do that then the reputations should give us materials like exotic ciphers, cores prisms, etc. this is not game breaking, it just gives a reason to actually interact with vendors.
