As stated in the subject line, Destiny 2 has recently started hanging and crashing outright. All I've done was update the game.
The steps I take are as follows:
1. Click to launch Destiny 2 on Stream.
2. Destiny starts to load.
3. Steam crashes. No error codes.
4. Destiny 2 hangs and fails to launch.
Steps taken to resolve:
1. Searched through Bungie Help forums for similar reports; non found.
2. Attempted solutions given to others experiencing similar situations; non worked.
3. Followed Bungie list of troubleshooting steps.
Verified files,
moved Destiny 2 to another hard drive,
uninstalled Destiny 2 and re-installed it,
attempted a re-install in another hard drive,
updated GPU drivers,
updated all drivers,
turned off AV,
re-installed Steam,
etc... Nothing works.
I then installed Destiny 2 on my laptop to see if it may be an issue with my account. Destiny 2 launches and works just fine on my other computer. Launching other games in my main computer works just fine; ONLY Destiny 2 is having this issue.
I looked in Event Viewer in Windows and the only error associated with Destiny 2 lists the following:
EventData
 AppName destiny2.exe
 AppVersion 41534.0.0.0
 ProcessId 0x1578

 PackageRelativeAppId
HangType Top level window is idle
The Steam error preceding this is as follows:
EventData

 AppTimeStamp 68df347c

 IntegratorReportId a7401d10-beb0-4fa2-a65c-339e49479b23

 PackageRelativeAppId
As it stands, I've run out of ideas. I can't play on my main PC and thus cannot stream it either as my setup won't allow it from my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm done trying to figure this out myself.

1 ReplyDid you also try installing Steam on a different partition? Steam error is Access Violation, which usually indicates a system file corruption, bad drivers or even RAM problems.
