Take your gaming difficulty down dramatically. The more challenging your fighting power increases, the more difficult your gaming system is to prevent the influx of new users. For users who have managed to achieve 450-550, tier 5 gear is a natural reward. Making the game difficult on purpose only causes stress. You need to relax your Modifire system. This game is not Dark Souls. The appeal of this game lies in its spectacular performance, farming, and storytelling. Please don't base your opinions on some heavy users, game YouTubers. They're just above average. Rather, lower your gaming difficulty dramatically and also lower your item drop rate. Your access will increase to get the items you want. Don't let new users get cursed at by heavy users in high-level mode. I'm Korean and have enjoyed a lot of games. Among them, Destiny showed the best performance. However, most of my friends around me left this game due to excessive nerfs and increased difficulty. I like Dark Souls and Blodbon, but the current difficulty level of Destiny is different from that. The current system only causes irritation and stress.

5 RepliesOut of all the things to cry and complain about, why do you pick a nonexistent issue? The portal literally lets you choose the difficulty, the only reason the game is hard is because YOU chose to make it hard. You trolls aren’t even trying anymore, at least in the past you came up with better material.

I definitely agree with that you are saying for many things. The base difficulty of the game getting harder as you level up and get better gear feels weird. Currently the game should be catered towards newer and less experienced players to increase the player count. So the game needs a fluid onboarding process, easy to understand LFG and matchmaking, and some sort of story recap to catch people up to speed. The whole game doesn’t have to be a patrol zone don’t get me wrong. But the harder content should be optional for better rewards not mandatory. The game currently lacks any sort of division between semi rewarding easy content and very rewarding difficult content. Pinnacle ops is the best example IMO. Why would I ever do pinnacle ops when it requires me to make my own group for each run of an activity, MAYBE get through it if my team is competent, and then get similar rewards to what I would get for a regular fireteam op. I have 3 bonus engrams on almost all fireteam and pinnacle ops just because I can’t be bothered to put together 15 different groups to get them done. The bushido armor set and the pinnacle exclusive weapons are the only reason to run pinnacle ops ever now. Like I’m broke AF on enhancement prisms. At least have pinnacle ops be the best way to get materials or something!

What are you talking about? The game is the easiest it has ever been?

3 RepliesLatest patch notes...and nothing was done. Buffing the scores in fireteam activities doesnt really do much for the MM delta.

1 ReplyWhat’s the point of going over 470?

10 RepliesEdited by nonchalantone: 11/5/2025 7:45:26 AMI'm not defending this game, at ALL. But some of y'all builds on your characters are just cheeks. Seriously. I just played with a guy in a match made Ultimate activity who had 2 primary weapons, and died every 3 mins until the revives were just used up. Then he backs out and leaves us hanging with zero revives. Some folks just straight Turkey @$$ bruh.

Could not agree more.

Edited by Wolves: 11/5/2025 6:28:56 PMThis is one huge reason of many why people have quit Destiny. I tried playing matchmade Widows Court onslaught today, after many failures with the randoms, I'm done. This level of "challenge" is just stupid. There is no loot in this game worth that level of sweat. It makes me sad to see this game head in the direction it has gone, I have never found a game that kept my interest like this one. Guess I have no choice now but to find a new passion in gaming.

1 ReplyI’m not spending another penny on this until they do.

2 RepliesThis is the easiest this game has ever been by the way. If anything seems hard maybe try a better build? I mean warlocks don't even have to shoot their guns if they don't want to.
The appeal of this game lies in its spectacular performance, farming, and storytelling.
Hero moments. One of the things that got me into Destiny 2 was popping Nova Warp for the first time and seeing half the Cosmodrome turn into a fine purple mist. You ever tried to use Nova Warp in high difficulty scenarios? It hits like a wet noodle. I don't know what to say on the subject of difficulty, I'm an average player on a good day, but I know that more players than just myself are frustrated by the current status quo. I can mostly muddle by, mostly, but that means half the bell curve is going to be struggling. As others have said: Destiny 2 needs to appeal to a lot of different players, casuals and the hard core, PVE and PVP, Raiders and Solo Operatives, and, allegedly, some people play Gambit. I don't know how Bungie crafts a game for all of us; that's not a dig at Bungie, it's commentary on the community, we're a mixed effing bag if ever there was one. I miss Strikes. Pop in, pop some heads, get some good loot. It wasn't a bad time.

Or you could just pick a lower difficulty.
-
This game is hard for some of you?
-
1 Replyif not weighted mechanics then its infinite ads. it killed the game a slow death. but its bungies sauce so the game ran its course.
-
Them adding Forge would save this dying game. Have you seen how crazy and dedicated players are to make maps and fun and dumb game modes? 2025 Bungie can NOT save this game alone

7 RepliesEdited by Dragokin: 11/3/2025 11:09:02 PM... I've enjoyed the dynamic scaling of the matchmaking so far but... there's gaps in the curve and a hard stop at 400 ish I've leveled mostly through the festival of the lost stuff but I fear what will happen when I go back to "normal" matches....I looked at the gear preview for quick play and it's all C range for matchmaking....so have I out leveled my ability to get any gear? I'll find out after the festival is over I guess but if that's the case I'm going to stop playing for a while it's already boring playing the same five missions over and over but if I can't even get gear anymore and I can't even take a break and play gambit as it won't provide gear and with Pathfinder gone no bright dust either..

I am certainly no very good player. Yet with patience and brain and certainly the help of my fireteam mates I managed the six GM conquests and made it to rank 10. It's not that hard plus Bungie toned difficulty down already. Could it be easier? Of course, but I believe they found a decent middle ground.

I dont think we're playing the same game, nothing in this game is difficult atm, the only thing that was overturned was day 1 desert perpetual, and the original -70 Kepler. If they make it any easier it wouldn't even be fun.....

Easy is boring

4 RepliesFOTL does it right when it comes to difficulty imo. T1 kinda snore and T2 has a little more grit, but T3 is a hoot. Plus the revive tokens are plenty. Enjoying the hats too! Stop stealing my hats 🤣👍 Even if they scale the revive tokens by %50 it's still a good design imo. And the spin the mods put on the event is fun. No forced -30 delta!
