Contest of Elders literally has no way (as far as I'm aware) of getting revive tokens...
..the modifier states getting more tokens by defeating CHAMPIONS
There are no champions in CoE...

It's so difficult and there's almost no incentive to doing it in the first place. I don't even see the point of playing it other than just playing it. It's Portal loot, so any other equivalent activity will drop loot from the same pool, not to mention that most of the loot drops from the middle of activity chests are always going to be lower tier than what you can easily get from a quicker mission elsewhere. I have the same hard feelings for Onslaught from the Portal and, to an extent, Expeditions from the Portal for the same reasons, not counting the run-ending bugs that occur. Not to mention that you're hardly going to find anyone who wants to play those activities all that often. The matchmaking has been spread very thin just from Portal activities and disparate activity incentive alone alongside one of the lowest population records for Destiny 2 ever. It is terrible. I mean, you can try to play it to enjoy it, but I think you'll get bored pretty fast. It just isn't worth it, in my opinion. Even if the revives get fixed later, man am I still not playing that.

CoE on master is tougher than fireteam ops on ultimate. Even if you figure out how to minimize your deaths, your teammates will eat the revives. What's the point of bringing it back in this state? I'd love to see the percentage of fireteams that complete this activity. Guessing it's the lowest in the portal.

Game is about dead. Whats up with the difficulties of limited revives, timers and just difficult gameplay. Destiny was a fun game, in a galaxy long ago. Limited revives cane about to make the hard mode of the Calus raid harder, but not its gone too far. The current and former raids are anything but fun, only one revive each, a couple of deaths and its a wipe. So many wipes! Who wants to play that?

I think the easiest solution to fix this is to give us Full Supers in the beginning and also give the players more BUFFS since revives are VERY limited. When I mean buffs not the lame "Being Airborne makes you do more damage" stuff I mean the GOOD buffs. Full throttle, Special ammo spawning faster and heavy weapon damage 👍

Once again why revive token and champs are a GARBAGE gimmick that needs to get tossed out of the game, enemies shouldn't get to just magically get darkness powers "just because", enemies shouldn't be able to use strand nor stasis

I jumped into that earlier and quickly realised it was an error. On our 3-man team, I joined late, and was DoA and stayed that way most of the time. We had 1x strong player doing most of the heavy lifting…after 2x revives and 2x even quicker downs, our MVP bought it…and straight to orbit we went. I could have / maybe should have quit asap - but, rightly or wrongly, that ain’t how this old tortoise rolls… 😐 I felt sorry for the other 2x teammates…especially the MVP…what a waste of time / effort and energy it was for them! 😕 I shan’t be doing that again in a hurry. 🧐 That is all. Ease Springs! 🫤

Correct. Can only get revive tokens from killing the Lucent Hive mini bosses when you kill their ghost. You also get responded at the end of 3rd round bosses if dead with no revives.
