Thoughts About More Sidearm Variety in the Future and Aggressive Frame Fusion Rifles

Consolidating these topics into one post to save some time. What are the most popular non-exotic sidearm archetypes that you often see or hear about in the game? I'd say Heavy Burst, Adaptive (since technically Drang is of that specific archetype), Lightweight and, for PvE especially, Rocket-Assisted. You know what hasn't been circulating much lately? Adaptive Burst and Rapid-Fire sidearms. I'll tell you, Adaptive Burst sidearms are criminally neglected by players and the dev team. You get a good roll on one and it can shred just as well as any good Drang can, give or take a foot or two. You want to know what the last 3 of these ones made were? Peacebond, Senuna SI6 and... High Albedo? What the time gap? While you can still get these 3 weapons with the more elusive option of Peacebond from Iron Banner and I think also The Last Hope from Zavala, these have barely seen any updates at all yet this archetype of sidearm has been in the game since the very beginning. It needs some love. The same could be said of Rapid-Fire sidearms, though they will probably always be outshined by SMGs and other sidearm competition. I feel like we're due for a Kinetic Rapid-Fire sidearm at some point though. Sounds cool. They need some love. And on the topic of Aggressive Frame fusion rifles... They fell off. Not gonna lie, I think I liked them better before they were changed a while back. They were unironically more consistent. Now, I know in the past I once suggested a change to them that in text sounds pretty much like how they are now. I really did. That post can probably be found somewhere if you use Google. But with the way that they currently are now, you'd be lucky to disintegrate a Guardian with one if you were eating the barrel of a shotgun trying. You could joke and say that the projectiles are actively trying to miss the target, it's so inaccurate. Now you might argue that the archetype is good against strafing targets due to the spread of the projectiles. Even that's not true in this case. Other fusion rifle types are good at that. The spread is too much to justify the argument. Even in PvE, I debate with myself if it's worth even using them for the same reason. What makes the raid Aggressive Frame fusion good? It can burn and ignite enemies. It can roll Bait and Switch. It isn't the weapon itself, it's the traits. I don't know what they need exactly, but either maybe the spread needs tightened up somewhere or the projectiles need a little bit more accuracy/hitbox support. They are struggling hard in the majority of scenarios right now.
