FOTL Haunted Altars of Sorrow boss glitched?
Got to the final boss and got his shield down for the first damage phase but there was no way to get the shield down for the second phase?
The invoking hive magic didn't appear for the second phase so I'm not sure if there is something else we're supposed to do to get his shield down?
After trying for 15 minutes to figure it out I just left the activity.

To fix this glitch in-game you and your team can wipe (all of you die without respawning). However if someone leaves the activity, you'll no longer be able to wipe and the only fix then is to either run out the revive tokens or just leave the activity.

2 RepliesYup, same happened to me. Do you need playtesters, Bungie? I'm currently disabled and would very readily use my expansive free time testing the game before it goes live and disappoints your remaining player base.

Seen a few bugged instances where you load up the instance, fly in and the clock is sitting at 0:00 like the instance has been completed but as people leave, others are being ported in.

IDK if it was a fluke or not, but we had gotten to the softlock, and wiped to restart the fight. It eventually let us pass after a third attempt, and all I did differently was not use my stasis super in the first phase. It could be ability or tick damage is messing it up, idk. I stuck to a linear and just damaged until immune for our third attempt and he immediately spawned the next wave of shriekers, so if he doesnt do that immediately after going immune, its probably softlock and you are best to wipe.

1 ReplyFirst time in, died and was returned to orbit. Have tried to get back in but each time I enter i am with a team that has been softlocked and nothing soawns.

Two times in a row the boss soft-locked. Appreciate the effort to try to give us a new event after so many years. Too bad it's bugged.

Since Bungie is a fledgling company just starting out and can't afford a single playtester here is a workaround. If it soft locks, whole team wipe, it will start boss over. The hive wells aren't spawning the second time around.

I have also had this problem three times so far. All on gm difficulty. I was able to complete the boss phase on ultimate once, but another problem I experienced on ultimate was not progressing from tier III to the boss phase and the timer going down to 0 and nothing happening.
