Unlinking a Steam profile
Hello Bungie Support,
I’ve lost access to my old Steam account that was linked to my Bungie.net profile for Destiny 2. I still have full access to my PSN account and my Bungie.net account (I’m writing from it now).
My issue: I can’t unlink the old Steam account or link a new one because Steam Support requires the original email from 16 years ago, which I can’t recover.
Could you please help me unlink the old Steam account and allow me to connect my new one?
All Destiny 2 progress belongs to this Bungie profile, and I just want to continue playing on PC.

Hi there. As of March 25th, [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]it is no longer possible to unlink accounts[/url], except Twitch. If you're unable to log into your Steam account, then your Cross Save setup will unfortunately remain permanent. Under no circumstances will Bungie forcefully unlink or remove an account.
