I’m not sure what sense it makes to have fireteam ops with matchmaking off. Does bungie realize I want to level in fireteam ops. But I’m the only person that plays the game I got 1 friend and we r in different time zones. And I don’t want to have to use the fireteam finder for every single thing in the game. I thought this was supposed to be fireteam ops. Not solo ops labeled fireteam ops. Actually about to leave the game and I just came back a month ago. Please bungie turn matchmaking on so I can actually play the fireteam ops playlist without having to lfg for everything. Cause I got my bonus drops from the spire and quick play. But can’t do anything else without having to post for a team. I’m busy and the hour or two I have I just want to run through as much as possible so I can level. And I can’t even do that. Shame

1 ReplyEverything in Fireteam Ops should have matchmaking.

9 RepliesReclaim is currently the fastest way to level & all 3 have matchmaking. I agree the bonus drops & no mm is a HUGE miss, I've about 35 bonuses sat there I can't use & lfg/fireteam finder is pointless unless you're 500+ boz there's very posts & they're all ultimate runs - create one of your own & no one joins coz the only people left playing are 500+ or brand new.

I always assumed it was because of the player population - it didnt look all that great when we only had acess to the steam numbers. However, even if the population has declined A LOT I was actually surprised by the new total numbers that we were introduced to a while ago. They should be able to support MM for more activities. Then again, I'm not even sure that's the reason for the limited MM options. So yeah, I want them to open up more MM activities too OR always add a bonus drop to one of the available ones when we complete an activity.

Or just tune Quick Play to where it's possible to get the "b" for the bonus. The only reason to do any fireteam ops is for targeted farming...and reclaim. I always enjoyed Vanguard strikes with randos.

1 ReplyEdited by BoomboxCollosuss: 10/19/2025 7:36:28 PMHence the name "FIRETEAM Ops." They're just chasing their own tails at this point with no real competent leadership. If I didn't still have a bit of a 'soft spot' for Star Wars, I wouldn't even consider any future purchases in this game. I may or may not purchase Renegades depending on how it actually is after launch, but they have alot of decisions to make, and qucikly if they want to save this franchise.

1 ReplyI agree, it should be on everything in fireteam ops. I wish they hadn't removed the bonus drops from the daily challenges as once you've done the weekly track you can't generate any more.

5 RepliesI just checked real quick and there are six activities in Fireteam Ops with Matchmaking enabled, three of those Ops switch out daily. You don't have to use Fireteam finder for everything in the game, you can use matchmaking for a lot of stuff, even many Pinnacle activities. If you don't want to use Fireteam finder, try doing some of the Matchmade activities that are available.

1 ReplyPlayer numbers are low The matchmaking system is having a hard time keeping up not enough players to fill up some of the lists It's a bad sign....

The other day my son and I jumped on to do an Onslaught. It had matchmaking active but when we loaded in it said matchmaking off but still went through the process of finding another guardian.
