Nightingale and Destiny 2 Servers are not available

I was just playing this morning on 17 October 2025 and now I'm getting various messages when trying to log into the game. 1 is Destiny 2 Servers are not available and the other is the Nightingale Error Code. I've restarted the Xbox, restarted my router/modem, cleaned the game cache, and uninstall the game. Still it is not working... I have no other issues with playing other online games.

  • I have been getting the same starting today (Oct 17). I am on PC. Also, to add more strangeness to this, I normally use a VPN which i know has problems with Destiny. When not using the VPN, I get nightingale errors and cannot play. If I turn the VPN on, I can play but I am plagued by baboon, weasel, bee and anteater errors. These errors have been making the game unplayable. I cannot stay connected for more than an hour. I have done all that the help pages state to do and yet it keeps happening. All of these errors spiked after the Oct 7 patch.

  • I power cycled my modem/router and this solved the nightingale errors. I still have to play with my VPN off to avoid the other errors.
