Bungie the portal can still be done correctly
Put every last piece of already made content into the portal with everything old updated to be relevant. I know you know this and it’s easier said than done, but I will be one of the few to say in concept with that being met it would be a lot better and fulfilled for what it’s worth. I hope you and Sony are making this work, seriously I didn’t start from the D1 beta to see the game in such a state as this:(.

2 RepliesIdea 1 for Portal - Turn it into an actual “portal through space and time” that allows us to play older content that was removed. Stuff like Escalation protocols, forges, Menagarie, older planets can be rotated weekly with updated loot. Idea 2 for Portal - Director returns as the main way to play. The portal becomes a smaller node in the director that allows you to earn EXTRA loot on top of your weekly challenges in the director. Profit :)

A simple quick win would be to add daily and weekly portal challenge reroll chips that drop alongside activity rewards so that you can continue to earn bonus drops, etc. after you've completed the weekly track. In addition, they need to be more generous with the activity completion reward drops, pvp for instance has only 1 completion reward per activity outside of trials.

1 ReplyI feel like if it was made to compliment the world map/Director instead of trying to replace it then it would be much less hated. Instead it’s like they axed half their own game and put scores and a timer on the other half.

Give us the game back, let the portal be for special events and seasonal activities. They could put stikes, pvp and gambit in the portal. The portal could have solo ops and fireteam opps and pinicle opps with modifiers but let the modifiers be optional without the score. Let us get loot from finishing not because of some dumb score system the only complicates things. How is the portal supposed to make things faster when all i had to do before was launch a strike now i have to go through and add negative modifiers to try to get the best score with the least punishment. Give us destiny back, let's us play what we want when we want not the portal and inlynthe portal.

1 ReplyThe portal is a great concept they just screwed it up, if they had added all of the old weekly activities and bounties, anything you could do in a week to level or earn gear it would have worked so much better. They has instead killed most of the game and left us with a steaming pile. Bungo fix it, update it to give us content to play not just a couple of activites we have to play over and over.
