Did anyone else familiar with the novels notice the setup for the 4th book? I know there's going to be a 3rd season but that lead into the story gives something of a promise for the showrunner's intentions, I think.

Never actually read the books due to the grossness of the whole Claudia stuff. I know Anne Rice wrote about her like that cause she was an insert of her late daughter who would never grow up and so it was part of her grieving process, but I’m happy not reading that. I like the version we see in the show. But yes, I did catch the tie in, AND they announced who’s playing her in s3, yesterday at NYCC, along with a full trailer.
