Unlink a lost Steam account
I would like to know how I could unlink my Steam account so that I could link a new one that I just purchased the game and all its contents on.
A little bit of a back story. I never thought I'd be transitioning to PC, ever, and so I made a Steam account on my back-up email just so I could link it to a list. However, after many years my back up email became a lost account and I never really thought about my Steam account the entire time. Fast forward to now, and I have gotten a PC and made a Steam account to my personal email. I bought every game and DLC I'd ever need on it. When I tried to log in however, my account was already linked to another and so I assumed I could unlink it.
Tell me why unlinking has been removed from the options since March? I would like to use the account I've built on my Playstation and my characters to be playable on my PC. I need help.

As of March 25th, the ability to unlink platform accounts (except Twitch) was removed, all links are now permanent - they also closed the workaround as part of it. Bungie will not unlink accounts on players behalf. Prior to the change happening, you still needed to be able to authenticate an account to be able to unlink it from your Bungie profile. [quote]Tell me why unlinking has been removed from the options since March?[/quote] Bungies stance on it is: [quote]Our goal is to protect the integrity of our players' accounts, simplify certain security systems, prevent fraud, and limit activities that go against our Terms of Service.[/quote] Personally think they got tired of people constantly swapping accounts, having to use the workaround, and linking accounts to other peoples accounts for recoveries so they decided to just shut it all down at once.
