Artificial Food Dyes

Am I the only one curious what some foods will look like after dyes get banned? I mean, imagine eating Cheetos and not having neon orange dust caked to your fingers afterward or Mountain Dew Code Red........not red. Skittles will need to change their brand motto to "Taste the Monochromatic" and that just doesn't sell the product.

  • Fun fact: American's are the only ones familiar with the whole poop turning green after eating Fruit Loops thing 'cause we're the only ones putting unnecessary artificial coloring in them

    • Monochrome Skittles are an affront to the gods, we are meddling with dark forces here! But more seriously, food producers will probably add a molecule to Red 34 and call it Red 35. Instead of designer drugs we're going to have designer food coloring. A food dyes arms race!

        • Probably less vibrant colors but natural dyes do exist

          • I mean, you already can. There are plenty of countries that have already banned artificial dyes and those products are still sold there.

          • It’s all going to still look the same. There are many other ways to dye food afterall

          • I don't foresee much of a change. Here's a before (inset) & after* of a blue steak after the dye regs go into effect. *Artist's rendition
