Can't earn a B rank in solo ops quickplay: master because I'm too high power and why does it matter? Because I can not earn the bonus focus reward.
In the current system I can not earn a B score in solo ops quickplay: master. Typically this doesnt matter since I dont do the playlist verson of solo ops because it is worse than selecting a specific one but it is relevent because I want to farm Mida Mini Tool. I can't get a high enough score to earn the bonus drop because I am too high power, 506. Please stop putting mini tool on quickplay, yes I know it is random and not a choice, but please put it in a place where i can actually target it lol. Thank you for your attention.

I'm currently 520s.. I can't run solo ops anymore. I'm running 50 to 70 below and it won't give me an A ranking. SoI was forced into match made ultimate ( God help me) only way I can get a plus 1 occasionally a plus two.. now I can't even get an A in that mode anymore and my gear is dropping 1 level less then I am? Ive been told before people are getting an A run at only-20. I don't know I tried everything. I can't make my own lobby cause you have to crank it to a ridiculous negative and one fo two things happen. Your teammates instantly die, or just leave if its not a projected A

All you have is solo ops and fireteam finder with its fireteam requests that expired hours earlier. They just want you in for events really and the chance you'll spend some silver at Eververse. That's all the upcoming star wars cash-in is. A cynical attempt to hawk more junk from Eververse.

1 ReplyOP: There does come a point where it becomes pointless to run anything in the Portaloo, other than events / crucible. I’m cherry-picking what I play…have been since around 300-350+ It just wasn’t worth it…and it certainly wasn’t fun. Currently, this 0.3% old tortoise is chasing the latest ‘white whale’ in Comp, ie, SR HC PvE g-roll…but even this is getting old real quick, as drops are minimal and sometimes nothing drops at all, nvm the alleged dbl-bonus loot! I ain’t grinding Comp to climb that particular ladder…not with my PvP numbers! 😁 Apart from doing this, nothing else in the game has any interest for me; there’s no way playing PvE Portaloo stuff at -40 or so is anything more than a Neomuna Overtuna SNAFUBAR…🧐 That is all. Ease Springs! 🫤

1 ReplyIt almost seems like they’re just trolling with it. I can appreciate that, but they definitely need to adjust the fireteam system and reward structure if they’re going to keep adding focus weapons you can’t get.

4 RepliesHere's the thing. Yes, it certainly does feel unrewarding at high powers to run a quickplay playlist for the bonus rewards. However, if you leave the playlist alone, then anytime the game gives you bonus reward options after game completions and the playlist already has 3 bonus rewards tied to it, it will always allocate the new bonus drops to the activities below instead of the playlist, and in Solo Ops, you're not really losing anything at all for running those instead in the first place. Fireteam Ops is a little bit more restrictive for that, but there should be no problem in Solo Ops if you leave the playlist alone. It even allows you to customize the modifiers when you try that method.
