Fix by Breaking

Bungie Ninjas will probably ban me again for this, since, let's be honest...they're who they are, but this video has a massive point. We don't need stupid things like light sabers, Star Wars ornaments, Festival of the Lost, Guardian Games, Solstice, or the new idiotic idea "Arms Week"...we just need a week of broken gaming. Arguments against will say what they'll say but player engagements is always highest during launch of a new season (except recently), AND when there's something like 12 man raids, the Craftening/Swipening, and all of the countless glitches we had and enjoyed. What could they possibly lose? Player count is at an all time low and Destiny is on life support with what one can only presume to be a tentative DNR since nobody at Bungie seems to care so if Sony is not going to protect their investment, and they're not going to let NetEase make a superior game for them, then FIX BY BREAKING

  • As much as I really enjoyed the random bugs that benefit players from time-to-time, I disagree with this "solution" as evidenced by the still decreasing player count while the Sturm and Lightweight Sword bugs were in the game. It needs to go further to the root of the issue, which in my opinion is: people will play the game if they can play however they want without heavy restrictions forcing their hand. I firmly believe the rewards should be the same regardless of difficulty or score. Whatever "challenge" you want to go with to your preferred skill level is therefore up to the individual player as incoming damage can clearly be increased individually as evidenced by the glass cannon modifiers the Bungie already set up in the game. "But then there is no reason to play higher difficulties" you may say. On the contrary, having such a difficulty modifier to increase your incoming damage could also increase your RNG chance at drops, if the "gamer cred" alone is not enough for you. As for fun bugs that happen occasionally, I believe Bungie should allow those as well for at least a week so that it is more likely that more players are able to have fun with it, instead of attempting to instantly patch it as they had done in the past.
