I gave this game the best possible shot, I was a day 1 D1 player. But this isn't fun. PVE is a hamster wheel with no payoff and PVP matchmaking is broken and now with all the people you've driven off a laggy mess. All I can say is, you've done it to yourself, but I can't keep trying to play something for fun that just isn't. You didn't test any of this, that's pretty obvious and when you don't put in the effort, then you get a sloppy 1/2 assed mess. Goodbye, I hope you all can figure this out before you lose your jobs, but I won't be around for it.

You were literally playing an hour ago. This thread is nothing but rage bait.

I'm sure the 74 upvotes and people who backed you on this thread appreciate the strength of character you demonstrated.........for a day or so. Welcome back.

The people making comments in replies are the very last of the playerbase…. They are bitter because they simply can’t quit…. I feel exactly the same…. Sad what a mess this game became

I agree, with a minor caveat; all it took to kill Bungie from the inside was the wrong people in the right places. It started with Parsons, and he opened the door for more of his kind. I am willing to bet a lot of the devs want a fully staffed QA department to test stuff; but Bungo management, filled with corporate leeches who have failed upwards their entire careers, won't pay for one. I imagine a good portion of the devs frequently want to delay patches/content drops to fix major bugs, but Bungie management, filled with non-gamers and only looking at financial quarters, won't allow it. IIRC it was Michael Salvatori who said 'We got Bungie out of Microsoft, but we never got Microsoft out of Bungie', but even if it wasn't him, whoever it was was 100% right!

I agree completely. I loved D1. I kinda liked D2. Doesn't matter now. I quit and I'm enjoying other games again. Bungo is a model for disaster. Good luck to anyone who stays.

Edited by Ulzana: 9/27/2025 3:06:43 PMYou're not alone. Less than 5k playing on Steam on a Saturday morning. D2 sucks and there are many, many better games to play. September numbers are going to be around a 40% dropoff. No reason for numbers to improve in October or November. Bungie crash & burn. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. Marathon won't save them. I started Borderlands 4 yesterday and it has the OG vibes. Movement & gunplay are better than ever. Price is steep but I'm not sorry I bought it. Highly recommend to any Borderlands fans, especially the first time it goes on sale. No harm in waiting; it will only get better. No FOMO. 125k playing on steam right now. :)

Edited by Northern: 9/27/2025 5:35:32 AMThere's definitely redundancies incoming at Bungie. Honestly, I think the game is done, Renegades will be more garbage, with light sabres to keep the kids happy. 😴
