I am an awful pvp player. Always have been. I’ve accepted that. I have been to the lighthouse twice in the entire existence of D1 and D2 flawlessly. So, I solo que in trials strictly for the loot(tho a flawless run would be nice). Right now, I’m hunting a certain roll for everburning glitz. That’s the only reason I’m playing. So, that brings me to the reason I’m posting this. There is no need to insult me and anyone else and call us trash, and tell us to uninstall the game or whatever other uncalled for insults you can come up with. Trials is part of the game, and I have a right to play it. Yes, I could turn off fireteam chat and whatnot, but I shouldn’t have to. But for some reason, and I don’t know why, someone who happens to get teamed up with me suddenly feels like they’re a trials god or something. I just don’t understand it. All I can say, is that if the lighthouse is that important to you, than lfg. It’s as simple as that. Or maybe you’re not actually good enough to lfg?

I'm the same way. I may often complain and rant and vent about Crucible and Trials being the stupidest PvP experience for me ever because I used to play Call of Duty Black Ops 3 back in the day, and I was just better at playing that than any other PvP game, and because Destiny 2's PvP experience is just awful because of how claustrophobic the maps are, how unbalanced the weaponry and Super abilities are, and because of those damn cheaters and hackers. But... at the end of the day, I only play Crucible and Trials just for the weapons and that's it. I'm not the greatest Crucible or Trials player ever either, and I've never been one to show off how good I'm at playing the game. All I've ever cared about is just collecting the weapons. That's it. But suffering through it all sometimes isn't worth it, but perhaps it can be when I do obtain what I want.

Same. Cracks me up that some folks still believe PvP is about « skills ». In the current state of PvP, skills only matters IF your lobby isn’t lagging like hell and IF no one is cheating their a** off or using devices or custom controllers. Which almost never happens IME.

They’re annoyed with you. Justifiably as well. Here’s why. Bungie has catered to players like you and added FTMM, easy loot,no more mercy rule and a flawless pool. It has turned Tirals into a perma solo Q and has diminished the competition. So yeah they’re annoyed with you when you throw their 7th win and make them have to grind again. Because you’re the reason why Trials is in the state it is and you’ve just cost them 45 minutes of their time. So I’d appreciate it if you said thank you the next they dig you out.
-
Well yeah, but you’re in a competitive game mode and ARENT competitive. Bangs head on wall: Why did I have a headache?
-
Part of me like "Yeah insults dont work" but its hard to be nice when I see blueberry Joe just sitting in spawn hoping me and my homeboy kill every enemy or jump off the map. The only reason bungie should not cater to casuals is because they rather get an easy time or not play at all. Should bro make their own bloody team? Yes. However the 3 stack pool is so small, I faced the same teams 5 times a saturday. Really making it not fun. If a team camps bolt charge, we'll I have to reserve 15 minutes to deal with 1 match. Honestly hatemail is childish but i get the frustration

Why are you after a PvP gun for use in PvE?
-
As a very average player myself i get what youre saying and its fine, but terrible players should understand that they are terrible and not immediately ruin the match for the other players. if you know you are that bad then at least hang back and dont get yourself killed immediately and let the better players initiate the fights. Dont bot walk out and put your team into a 2 v 3 from the start. (general point not aimed at the OP).

Do you bro.... you get better by playing, most of the time pvp players dp crazy off the map glitch stuff and use one shot cheese weapons.. there is no honor there in pvp

Those people shouldn’t be solo queueing then. You are going to get all skill level of players. They all want easy kills but don’t want those players in their team. Turn off chat and get your loot.
-
I just remind the people that message me that A. We're here together B. If you hate blueberries or people with multiple thumbs then get a team C. CARRY HARDER and if you have a 2.0 in you emblem kd to brag then you're not doing your job clearly. For real I actually ended up laughing with a few random guardians. Don't take it too hard and just have fun.

Some people are so toxic. I usually try to bait them into saying something that will get them banned. If you are going to trash talk your own team not even all the way through round 1 you deserve it. I had a teammate who was mad I didn’t run in like a bot and die right away like he did. I was still alive when he was losing his mind. Bottom line, just be kind to people. I usually try and say nice things to peeps when they do a solid job because of all the super toxic people I’ve had to experience. I’m not even bad either! I go flawless solo fairly often. Super sad there are people worse than me who just play for loot and get like verbally abused just for showing up.
-
The toxic elitism has always been a huge issue…
-
Well said 🤜🤛
-
Just try harder.. stick with your team and stop dieing first leaving your team in at a disadvantage. People are in trials to get 7wins, if they are on a 4-5 win streak then get a potato who throws they are going to vent. Turn off your messages or stay out of the playground.
-
People just get frustrated. Probably blowing off steam, albeit definitely not at the right person and not to be condoned. But its easier just not to take it seriously. I take it like when I was playing basketball. What goes on on the court stays there.
-
I can only play PVP if I'm on the beer. Otherwise it's unbearable.
-
why are these idiots so angry all the time?
-
OP: you’re not the only one that endures Trials for loot and stuff. 🤑👻 Do yourself a favour - turn ‘off’ messaging…and carry on what you’re doing! 👈 That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖
-
If I take trials too serious I can get annoyed, but then I check myself and think- it’s just a game… have fun. Don’t let the haters affect you. Signed, a former tryhard.
-
Actually found a post that made me laugh. I haven’t done Trails for a while. Im a bullet sponge DOA lol. But checked into trails last night and found it ok. The loot runs have been. Fun. Total agree with your post.
-
This is me. Just play for loot. Get my but kicked and maybe have a good win here or there. Mostly just steamrolled for loot.
-
I also do
-
People want to get better and complete a flawless run. When couple of bots like you enter their team they lose every chance to win. And then what you gonna do with this loot if you can’t shoot an add in the face? You’ll jump into pve where again people will have to carry you. This game is not for everyone. Uninstall!
-
PvP can bring out the worst in people. If you leave your chat open, expect to get some salty messages. Best thing you can do is laugh them off.
-
I actually played a game today that we won 5/4. Right after I got a message on Xbox… and cringed. To my surprise, it was the dude on the other team saying good game. That’s never happened to me before, but man did it renew just a little of my faith in people.
-
I know you shouldn't have to, but turn off text chat, I do that every time I play pvp so I am blissfully unaware of the try-hard haters.
