Coming soon…D1 Legacy - a fully revamped version featuring all planets and updated D1 adventures and Exotic quests. It’s the same D1 but with an updated and fully modernised game engine, with DSRs for an exciting Crucible experience! All of the old favourite weapons feature new and improved perks. Armour sets use the new tiered system and are not too difficult to earn. Vault space is vastly superior. Minimum currencies and materials make harvesting them a breeze! New multiplayer events and lively patrol area events will keep you having fun and engaged! Raids - the original ones have been renewed and are loot heavy! You will want to do them…a lot! New Dungeons will be coming soon! Play the way you want to! Set the difficulty level at your pleasure - Easy / Normal / Hard / Harder / Hardest. Whatever level you choose, all the loot and rewards are the same, the only difference will be the emblems and shaders that show your Guardians’s prowess! Oh, and the special feeling that reflects your ‘in game’ ability and status! Crossplay is an option…the default setting will be a choice of Console (PS5/6 and Xbox variants)…or PC only. This means your choice reflects how you play with other likeminded gamers…and will help the game run more smoothly. F2P is no more. First time potential purchasers will play a small taster game…to get a feel for the new Destiny Legacy experience. This will be available 1x only per new a/c or ISP address. Subscription Service is the standard. A reasonable monthly fee gives full game access. Subscription fees offer generous benefits and discounts on Quarterly / Bi-Annual / Yearly payments…play and pay accordingly. Fast Pass is a new option for those that want to reach the top or unlock that new weapon or armour set more quickly! Anyone who has been to a major Theme Park or Ski Resort will understand how this major benefit works. It’s just a time saver…that comes with a special ‘whale’ or ‘dolphin’ marker - so everyone knows you mean business! For other players who prefer to patiently wait in line, the rewards are the same, it just takes a bit longer, and more dedicated playtime, to get them! Clans - a complete refresh. There are so many absentee or lapsed players in old clans, that all clans will have the option to be removed. Contact details remain…as a new Clan 2.0 update will be an option for those lively clans that wish to remain. Everyone else will start out as a solo player…and make new buddies as you play and engage naturally with the game. Find and join a new Clan 2.0 - if that’s what you want, otherwise, carry on as you are! For D1 Origins players - your old weapons / armour are all present and ready to use. The 2.0 versions, ie, with new perks and stats, are available as for every new player to earn afresh! There will be a robust anti-cheat engine constantly monitoring the whole game…with special emphasis on Crucible events. Be advised! Crucible - Trials - Comp - Mayhem - Rift - new games to play…watch this space for news and updates! There’s lots more to share, though for now… That is all. They should have launched a separate app/game when they realized they were changing the game engine and world have to start deleting content.

I would really look forward to this! I also think it's possible, one way or another. But they won't, because they would need a bigger and more experienced staff to reintegrate and maintain the game, for which they can't (!) and wouldn't pay. The Destiny Content Vault solution was such a bad and reckless decision.

I agree. It would be wonderful to be able to play the entire game. There is so much material. Of course they'd still have to manage the Seasonal Artifact mods, or do away it entirely.

Sure, Bungie should add all the destinations back to the game. While they're at it, they can add all of the campaigns, seasonal activities, weapons/armor, etcetera and so on with absolutely zero chance of the game imploding in on itself under the weight of all the crap that people will play for a month then abandon completely once they're bored with it.

I’ve already mentioned this on here before but instead of bringing everything back in one big download or one big instalment they could break it down into seasonal size chunks and have each one available to download. For those worried about the game becoming too large and unruly they could add a limit to the amount of downloads you’re allowed at any one time, perhaps 3-4 seasons at once before you need to delete one so that you can download another. For any weapons or armour that you’ve earned (barring exotics) they would be greyed out if you delete the seasonal expansion from which they came from. Elder Scrolls Online does this to a certain degree with their subscription service, you lose the ability to have or use certain items or ingredients if you aren’t subscribed. Also, for the record, I’m not advocating for a subscription service in D2. It could be a good thing for the game potentially but I think Bungie might abuse it with how greedy they’ve been lately. I’m sure implementing any of the above would be a huge, technical undertaking in itself but if they were ever going to do it I personally think that would be the best way.

I miss The Tangled Shore, IO, Mars, and Titan. Not so much Mercury. The planets/destinations were always places to go and just have fun doing events and trying out new gear and builds. Patrolling with randoms always made the game feel more alive. The old vaulted destinations would be almost new again after such a long absence. Bungie has abandoned public patrol destinations since Neomuna, so these old locations would be cool to visit again. Not that I would expect that to happen. I am afraid they are gone and public patrol is pretty much abandoned and forgotten.
