‘Events’ are just Eververse store fronts now
Everything from the long standing Iron Banner and seasonal events like the Dawning to the new Heavy Metal and Arms Week. All these are just menus to sell currency. I don’t mind monetisation but this is so egregious it’s added to the death of the game.

Now it's just an attempt to leech another dollar from their remaining players.

It’s very obvious during the event, top right corner in the portal you’re being advertised the eververse store then the event itself

2 RepliesI don't even know why Salidan shows up for Iron Banner. He's just there to say hi and start the "quest" and the rest of the time you're in the portal. All Salidan has is old gear that isn't at level and isn't on the new system. Why would you bother buying any of it?

Eververse gets updated with so many cosmetics now. Too many. The most we’ve ever had drop on one expansion.

The whole game has become an eververse store front now More emphasis on the cash shop, less emphasis on gameplay, is the last sign a game is about to die Watch Josh Strife Hayes, and all the dead MMOs he plays, and they eerily resemble the current state of D2 -
